"Car hire"

We hire a car 3 times weekly for my work. Any time I have phoned about any issues they have been dealt with quickly and very efficiently.

The whole concept is a great idea.

As someone with minimal need for a car (I live in the town centre, so walk most places, and without off-street parking owning a car would probably be a hassle), Co-wheels car club membership is absolutely the best compromise. Once registered, the booking system is super easy, it's fantastic value and I get all the benefits with none of the burdens.

In addition, the customer service is amazing. On the couple of occasions I've had reason to contact them, they have been efficient, helpful and super friendly, which is incredibly reassuring.

I really wish that I'd joined up sooner, it's made my life SO much easier. Thank you!

Easy to use app and I really enjoyed being able to drive an automatic car! Had a small issue with the booking system, but this was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the helpful customer service team.

Once registered it is so easy to book and pay.

Very competitive rates, you hire the vehicle of your choice and then only pay per mile. Simple and cheap. Well worth it!!!

"Good and bad"

Good customer service, and I like the simplicity of getting a car, especially with the new app, I also think the price is very reasonable too.
However like people have already said, it's other users that ruin things. I've had a car stinking of smoke, because the previous user has obviously illegally smoked in the car, also booked at a car, only to find it not there. And when I rang up, they tracked it it found it parked miles away, very nearly causing me to miss an important appointment, had to get a taxi in the end. I appreciate there's not a lot Co Wheels can do about this, but inconsiderate users should be penalised, as it ruins it for everyone else.
Another minor thing is the 2 BMW i3s are never available during the week, only on weekends and Bank Holidays. Why? I assume they're used exclusively by the council as they're parked there, but it seems unfair that they are never available for anyone else during the week.
But I do recommend, despite the few negative points.

I wanted to complain regarding the litter and no charge left on the car when I booked it today. My plans were then ruined due to this.

However Gareth on their live chat was able assist me to very quickly with my frustration, and without any hesitation cancelled my booking with a full refund. Gareth provided me with great customer service.

I use co wheels all the time. And I had a slight problem on Saturday with the charging I emailed up and spoke with Gareth he is very helpful and sorted the problem very fast. I have had a couple very minor issues since having my membership that I’ve had for a year. I usually ask for Gareth or Amy (helpful Amy) if you have any problems speak to Gareth he will always go above and beyond to help

"Excellent Customer Service, Bad community users."

Excellent customer service from the emergency line staff at the wee hours and day staff too. I've had a lot of issues recently with other drivers either not returning cars, charging cars, or just leaving the cars in such a state in Dundee it's beyond a joke. The help line staff have always been super friendly and helpful, able to book me onto other nearby cars very quickly. Just wish other users would remember to plug in and make sure the cars are charging when they return them, and report any flat tyres and break downs...

Must try. Everyone should have this set up incase anyone ever needs it. It’s a perfect service with excellent cars and best customer services.
