"I regret to say that my experience with…"

I regret to say that my experience with the Bifolding Door Factory has been extremely disappointing. Use the Bifolding Door Factory at your own peril - my rating would be zero stars if the system allowed it.

We placed an order for a side door and a front door with an individual glass panel; and signed the contract and paid the deposit on 8th August 2024. Yes, 8th August, and I am writing this on 25th March 2025 and we are still waiting for the front to be installed.

The company’s paperwork outlined a delivery and installation timeframe of 25-30 working days from the order date, which - again - was 8th August 2024.

The front door installation was carried out on 24th November. The old door was removed, and the new one was put in, but it was not checked before the installation that the side panel was actually manufactured incorrectly, so we had a hole in the front of the house until they resized the panel later that day. There were other issues with the installation, with the front door not matching the order specifications. The fitter was fully aware of the above, but no one from the Bifolding Door Factory contacted us at all. In the absence of their response we reported it to them on 26th November 2024, and four months later, the problem still hasn’t been resolved.

From the start, we repeatedly emphasised the importance of a timely installation, especially since we had builders scheduled to start at the end of November, as noted in our previous communications with Bifolding Doors Factory. Unfortunately, these requests were not accommodated.

The result has been a half-finished installation, leaving us with exposed brickwork, missing plaster, and bare foam for months. To make matters worse, the side door, which was promised to be installed earlier, wasn’t fitted until 21st January 2025 — long after our builders had finished their work.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, we’re entitled to have work completed within a reasonable time frame without undue inconvenience. We’ve been more than patient and flexible, but we continue to face delays and major disruption. Initially, we were told the work would be completed by the end of January, then we were told it won’t be finished until the last week of March, now it’s going to be in April.

Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with the Bifolding Door Factory and would not recommend them based on my experience. The treatment is not only unacceptable as far as customer service and tradesman standards are concerned but highly disrespectful. We had to chase and call, and email, only to be ignored on numerous occasions and the problems still persist.

Great doors installed well and quickly. Some delays with the parts from shuco which slowed things down but bifolding doors put us a priority to install as promised and came good on the install date for us . Imran was very helpful and sympathetic to our needs thank you imran !

Great products from reputable brands (went for Smart aluminium). Good ordering process and competitive quote vs. other providers. Recommended to triple check our colour choice with samples which was a great idea and dealt with promptly via the post.
All measurements were accurate for no drama install.
Could have been 5* - just missing one for a slower-than-expected after sales service, although all was put right and now very happy with the products and the install. Will definitely call again for future work.
