"Lovely log cabin but limited instructions"

Absolutely lovely log cabin, looks amazing, well designed and quality is great! However it came with virtually no instructions and we built it by guessing pretty much every step. We had to call up quite a lot and ask questions but they were always super helpful and friendly, can’t fault their customer service! Would’ve been a perfect experience if only more detailed instructions were provided because we could have built it in less time!

Just in case you think this is 6 years later I had serious issues VIRTUALLY immediately but this company took NO responsibility bought big summerhouses for TWO nieces as a gift from their late uncle.
It’s just about ready for a GOOD bomb fire!!!🤬

Found the materials first class, fairly easy to sort out and very very easy to put up 6hrs minus roof shingles. I created a back room shed in the summerhouse out of matching tongue and groove including a matching door. Every one who sees it says how fantastic it is. The only problem I've had is with the door lock, the barrel shattered and needs replacing. Apart from that it's been a very good experience.

"Jutka flat roof not fit for purpose – Be aware!"

We purchased the Jutka log cabin in 2023 and are generally very pleased with the quality and building but for one critical aspect – the flat roof not draining rainwater. Long story short, the roof has insufficient fall to remove rainwater effectively, leaving significant pooling of water giving rise to leaks and undue weight on the roof. Tuin’s response was to send their own fitter who confirmed, whilst the build was of a good standard, they were unable to specifically identify the cause, and suggested we rebuild the cabin to correct a very minimal alignment issue in the walls (to vertical) to see if this resolved the issue. We in turn had an independent roofing company who advised the roof fall / slope did not meet general recommended guidelines, and as such, in their view was considered not fit for purpose. In the absence of a satisfactory solution from Tuin, we instructed the roofers to build a new roof with the correct slope which now works as it should.

We approached Tuin to cover the additional costs, and they referred us to their Retail Ombudsman service. Tuin did not respond or provide any evidence to show the roof was satisfactory, however because we instructed the roofer to correct the work without agreeing this with Tuin, the Ombudsman found in Tuin’s favour.

The purpose of this feedback is to make people aware that the flat roofs used by Tuin are not satisfactory (my Brother in Law has a similar issue on a smaller Tuin cabin with a flat roof). We are considering whether to pursue a legal claim but regardless, Tuin have not taken any responsibility and left us with necessary costs to correct what appears to be a design fault. Just be aware.

I have waited for 6 months to write this review as i wanted to be sure about the quality of my log cabin after a harsh winter in wales including a red alert for severe gales i feel now is the time. firstly about delivery what a bloke he could not get his truck down my street no problem he parked on the main road behind my home and brought it to me on his fork truck excellent service packaging was excellent after several hours of carrying it out to the back garden i was ready to erect pretty straightforward with a little help from my wife and daughter we were up to the roof in 2 days i opted for the shingles on the roof which i would strongly recommend as they look stunning the floor i bought myself which was much cheaper than tuin (my only gripe) i now have a wonderful man cave that me and my friends will enjoy for many years to come Will i buy another one from tuin again NO im 63 and the quality of my cabin will certainly out see me but i would always recommend them well done tuin
