"Disappointed in communication"

A claim was filed in late May in regards to a vacation being cancelled due to unforeseen cardiac issues . For the past 6 weeks we have been told that our claim is in the final stages . As of July 12 we were told that the agent was reading our claim as we spoke and it would be completed within a few days . It has been almost 2 weeks with still no communication . We understand that the company is extremely busy but we are beginning to lose
Confidence and feel we are getting a lot of lip service . We hope we are wrong .

"Avoid this Travel Insurance Company At All Costs"

Absolutely horrible experience. I have a slam dunk claim. Not medical related. A gale blew through and all boats were cancelled to get to Catalina which was the only way to get to the island. The ferry refunded the money in 24 hours. I am now over 3 months and they still have not refunded my claim for the vacation rental. I have written numerous times, spoken to multiple people giving me lip service that they don't think 3 months is a long time for a claim to settle. If someone knows an insurance commissioner overseeing them, please advise, I will gladly file a complaint with them.

"Hopeful"

Well, had a beach trip planned for 7/11 - 7/16. Became extremely sick with flu on 7/10. Submitted all paperwork. A little anxious after reading some of these reviews so i will follow up and update regularly. So far agents have been very helpful and pleasant.

"Anticipating that all will work out."

I still have hope that I will receive my refund for a trip that was insured for early June. I know it has been approved but still waiting for the funds. I want to go ahead and book another trip and hope COVID doesn't interfere this time, but wondering if the extra insurance fee is worth it.

"Cancel Beach Trip due to CoVid"

We had to cancel our June 4 to June 11 beach trip due to grandchildren getting CoVid. We cancelled on May 29th. Doctor forms required..Done..Copies of every payment required for beach house...Done. Still no refund. NO communication unless I call. We will NEVER deal Red Sky again. USAA travel it will be. I will be contacting the BBB/ lawyer/Emerald Isle Reality for suggesting/offering Red Sky. Their REVIEWS are terrible. I trusted the reality office with the offer of the travel insurance and I should have investigated the company first. I had Red Sky for the previous year's beach trip and have determined that the only thing Red Sky is good for, was taking my money. BUT GOD help you ...if you have to make a claim.
*** UPDATE today. 7/15/22 Just got our claim approved. Stated in email to expect refund within the week.

"This was the worst service I have had…"

This was the worst service I have had in years with any company in the US!! No one seemed to have any idea what they were doing at all. 10 weeks was required to process the claim but if I had at least spoken to an intelligent knowledgable person along the way I would have accepted the status of the claim. That did not happen. POOR!!!!!

"not a good experience"

I can't give a good review for this company. I had a scheduled weekend get away back in January and had to cancel it due to illness. The claim went into final review the middle of March. I have yet to receive the reimbursement. After several emails, live chats and phone calls I was finally told on 7/1 that it was approved and payment was being sent. It is now 7/7 and it hasn't arrived yet.

"We cancelled our reservation in Dec"

We cancelled our reservation in Dec. 2021, and did not receive our claim until July, 2022. We got the paper work in immediately. when calling to inquire our status, I was either disconnected or told someone would call, which they never did. This happened at least three times. I had to threaten with my lawyer before I got a call back. Way too much time. Health issues kept us from this vacation.
