"Multiple calls & emails for a simple…"

Multiple calls & emails for a simple claim filing. Kept getting requests for more information without any feedback. Had to call information request person twice then no word from claims adjuster for weeks. Then adjuster mistakenly stated not eligible for insurance. If didn’t know better, experience is typical run around that give insurers a bad name. Almost as if insurer wanted any way possible to frustrate insured to avoid paying claim.

"Red Sky was awesome"

Red Sky was awesome. I had a circumstance which led me to miss the deadline for rollover (my hubby died and I sent a Death Certificate), but they accommodated my request. I cannot thank them enough for their sympathy.

I will probably, eventually, have my claim paid, Because the company eventually paying, the contract is going to get the win on follow through. This is what I did pay for. The experience of filing the claim - easy… the process to get paid has been awful. I am sure there are insurance scammers. In my case, I had open heart surgery and submitted an invoice of around $500,000 from Stanford University hospital. not Stanford Maine hospital … or Stanford New Mexico. The Stanford university . I was asked to get my surgeon, a man who has conducted 760 +/- total surgeries of my particular issue total in his 40 year career… a man that was part of the first heart transplant in the world… to write a note validating my surgery… or a member of his after care team. Are you kidding me? That teams time is better served doing anything else. Again… f you insurance fraudsters. Further, Apparently, the Epic pass people… they don’t want to help either. Even though it was their recommendation to use RedSky and there is probably a “referral “ fee… help a life long skier/customer out. Got nothing from the epic folks. They only validated part of my payment… because the insurance company didn’t ask if I paid the whole bill and I guess epic didn’t mention it…… I need to find a year old credit card statement to prove I paid… never mind the ski passes I never would have received if I hadn’t paid …. and the Stanford University surgical care team note stating I am a heart patient . … how would I have received the ski pass if it wasn’t paid for. It’s a tough thing - customer service- but in my case, I feel it wasn’t hard to make the right calll but the escalation processes were not there or new employees just don’t care

"a very frustrating experience!!!"

The signing up for insurance for my Steamboat lift tickets was a breeze. The processing of the claim, however, took months. Our trip to Steamboat was cancelled due to two family members testing positive for COVID-19. I supplied the requested results with my claim, as well as a list of all of the travelers, dates of travel, a copy of my credit card statement showing the charge for the lift tickets, the day the trip was cancelled, etc. I turned in the requested documentation within days of the request. I must have contacted Red Sky a dozen times before my claim was processed. And, I finally had to call Steamboat directly to tell them how I was being delayed by Red Sky. Only then was I several weeks later given my refund. All in all, a very frustrating experience!

"Beware of the fine print."

If you are injured during your stay, I tore my PCL which also chipped a bone, tore my mcl and sprained my ACL. They paid my medical but no luck on the rental because the doctor did not say I should go home. He did give a full length leg brace and crutches an told me to see an orthopedic surgeon right away. Could not walk up 15 flights of stairs at the rental and have surgery so we departed the next day. Beware they denied this claim.

I never had problem with my claims. It was process smoothly and I receive it right away. I had to provide a few documents but process was quick and easy.

"It was like pulling teeth to settle my…"

It was like pulling teeth to settle my legitimate claim with these insensitive so and so's. No one I talked to could answer a question or make a decision of any kind. During my inquiries, I would be put on hold for long periods of time, ask someone else more knowledgeable or in charge and then get back to me saying they needed through the following weekend for their final determination. This is run like a COVID-based service. No urgency with a government-style process. Good Luck.

"My husband and I purchased our ski lift…"

My husband and I purchased our ski lift passes for the year 2021-2022 season, in the Spring of 2021. My husband had unexpected knee surgery in December of 2021 which was followed up with physical therapy. He did not feel comfortable to ski aggressively at his level at the time we had planned our usual late Winter ski trip. We informed Red Sky Insurance of our canceling of our ski vacation and the reason. They were very efficient in helping us as to downloading the documents needed for us to fill out and documents they needed to review our claim. The insurance company kept us updated on the progress of our claim. We were pleased with the results and highly recommend others to us them.

"We got a check in the mail today for…"

We got a check in the mail today for the entire amount that you said was in the mail.the check was posted on April 22 nd and mailed on April 26 th and arrived May 4 th.that you very much and we are pleased with everything your company did on our behalf!
