"contract number U008283"

ordered a new front door - buying process was simple and price was on point. Paperwork and communications from Penicuik were wholly disappointing though... we seemed almost an after thought. 3stars

When we did get the install date, Craig turned up on time and raring to go! He installed the new door without hassle - tidied everything up and went through the paperwork, do's/don'ts etc. Door looks great. 5 stars to him!

"Order no U003679. ZERO STARS!!!!!"

Order no U003679. No stars. Back door ordered 19th MARCH 2018. Still waiting for door!!!! Given date of installation on 3 occasions only to be cancelled with an excuse door was marked and had to be returned. Have spoken to Complaints Manager who would not allow me to cancel my order and get my deposit back as I had signed a contract and not cancelled within 14 days. Phoned to chase up only for calls not to be returned. My bank did a disputed transaction request for my deposit to Penicuik and lo and behold received a new installation date. Day before as usual a call to say door arrived without trims and would not be fitted. Next step Trading Standards or the Press. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

We recently had some work carried out by Penicuik on a supply and fit basis.
Initial contact was from a sales rep;. He was well informed about the company's products and answered all questions honestly. He did not use aggressive sales tactics to achieve a sale, but gave the facts, and left the customer to decide.
A surveyor called some days afterwards, and carried out his work, giving advice where necessary.
Original installation date given was delayed by 48hrs. This was due to circumstances beyond the company's control, We were informed timeously of this delay by the installation manager.
Installation was carried out by a two man team,Dale and Ross and it has to be said that their standard of work is a good advert for their employer. From covering the whole work area with dust sheets before starting to vacuuming the same and polishing the new glass after finishing.
Have no hesitation in calling them,'the A. team'.

"If I could give no stars I would"

If I could give no stars I would. We had a sales man in our house for over 3 hours and we were sold in by the sales pitch about a government scheme to get money of which is a scam does not exist also we were told the £350 admin fee was for if the company goes under we would still get a ten year guarantee (this is not what the fee is for). Yes we did sign a contract but under false pretences. Not even 12 hours after the sales person left I phoned to cancel the contract at this point it hadn’t even been put on the system and was told that I should get a phone call back to get my admin fee returned to me. After a long wait someone came to sign cancellation paperwork and he tried to take over £3000 of the job to get me to continue with the work! I refused as the company have not got a good reputation and if they can do it cheaper what quality of work would be given. I continued to call back regarding my admin fee and after a week I was told it is non refundable even after being told it was up to the sales team. I then was contacted by cancellations team and told that there is a form I could fill in with a witness and get my money back and they would call me back to arrange a date to do this. After a week no call back and had to call customer service on multiple occasions with no call back from sales team. I was then told again it was non refundable even after being told on two occasions I can be refunded. It is clear that they have chosen not to give me my £349 not the fact that they can’t. What admin is £349 it’s is shocking and I will be spreading the word to stay clear of the company.

"great service and friendly installers"

great service and windows replaced with no bother and no mess. Only complaint would be that it would have been helpful to know more about how the installation would work before the event. E.g. times of arrival of workmen and the order of work etc. that would be done. Contract number U008303

"Good workmanship and value for money"

The two young men who did the installation were hardworking and very polite. They arrived on time and were extremely thorough and left no mess, clearing up as they went along. They dealt calmly with the discovery of a wasp's nest in the panel beneath the window and this did not deter them from finishing the job. I am pleased with the finish and it looks really good. Thank you Penicuik.

"Good service and lovely doors"

No pressure sales staff- friendly office staff- fitted at a date and time of my choosing. Doors seem to be good quality and fitting team were very efficient and cleaned up after themselves. Overall I am pleased, However the after sakes pressure sales calls were totally uncalled for.

"Penecuik windows review"

Excellent service, Installation team were fantastic, clean and efficient. Our sales guy was friendly, not pushy at all and well informed. Windows have been great so far and a marked improvement on previous ones.
