I was delighted with the service I got from the start , they were so helpful ,the two boys Dale and Ross who came to do the installation were excellent, I was so surprised that how tidy they were they even had there own hoover and cleaned up after them by the time they were finished you wouldn’t have known they had been in the house , I had 6 windows and 2 doors done and they did it all in one day so was delighted with the service , we have been told that a plasterer still has to come and just finish tidying up outside round the windows and doors where some of the cement had got damaged removing the old ones and they say he should be hear within the week , would definitely recommend Penicuik and hope you get these two lovely Lads .

"Sales patter was cringy"
Sales patter was cringy and transparent. Salesman and surveyor working off different books so didn’t get the glass design on the door that we picked. Other than that pretty much perfect. Windows and door installed by Colin, Kyle and Thomas. Good, quick and tidy. Can’t ask for more. Slight damage to roughcasting when removing old window which has now been repaired. Would recommend Penicuik after our experience. Contract no.U007257

Had 8 windows and 2 doors fitted and delighted with the end result.
Dale made contact prior to fitting to clarify details and provided very good advice in relation to the finish/surrounds which was much appreciated.
The team did an excellent job of fitting and left the house/windows spotless. They were extremely professional and went above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. The windows/doors look brilliant.
I would definitely recommend the service from Penicuik.

The windows are excellent value, fitted expertly and carefully by Thomas and AJ, who were courteous and hard working. They also cleaned up both inside and outside the house.

Poor service before build as it was very difficult to get in touch/the ball rolling with penicuick but once the build began Scott and Reece who installed the sunroom were outstanding

I had dire service from a sister company and agreed to allow Penicuik to install roofline products. This I was told "would restore my faith in the group". Another bad move on my part.
The 2 man team ripped off the old wooden facias etc littering the path with broken slates but I was told not to worry as their slater would be along to replace said slates.
The day the job was finished I was advised that they had broken my outside light together with bulb but that I shouldn't worry as "you can get a nice one at B&Q".
No apology and their attitude left a lot to be desired. I contacted the local Job Worth manager, Mr M Webster who said to send him the bill. I told him the reimbursement wasn't really the issue but his teams' attitude that annoyed me.
As I was on the line I asked when the slater was due to arrive. He alleged he had no idea that remedial work was required.
That work did take place.
A few months ago I was made aware of a water escape at the back of my property. I called in a plumber and was advised that the persons who installed the roofline products has cut through the pipe from my shower to the waste pipe meaning that each time the shower was used water escaped. The plumber took photographs of the damage etc and outlined it on his bill.
I sent a copy of said bill To Job Worth and it was signed for on 11th July. To date I still await a response and/or a cheque covering the plumber's bill.
I emailed enquiries at penicuik.com on 29th July and sent a follow up on 6th Aug . To date I still await a reply.
I then completed a form for a call back. Guess what? No response to that either.
The majority of the persons who have rated this company will not be surprised to read this tale of woe.
It is my intention to raise a Small Claims Action for the cost of both the plumbers bill and the new external light that I purchased.
Someone from 'head office' contacted me and today (10th Sept 18)I received a refund of the costs incurred.
Whilst I am very grateful for his intervention, I do not feel that I can change my rating of the work/service provided.

We had 5 windows fitted by Kevin and his son for Penicuik and we are very pleased. Apart from the initial delay when ordering everything has been first class. The installation process was exemplary and we would recommend Penicuik.

We had 8 windows fitted yesterday 16th August and we cannot praise highly enough the two gentlemen who carried out the installation. Dale and Ross were cheerful, polite, and meticulous in all aspects of the removal of the old windows and the fitting of the new assemblies. They initially covered all traffic areas with protective sheets and then on completion of the work they cleaned up every area, inside and out. Top marks Boys. Thank you for your fine workmanship.

Cold Callers - Scam company!!!!!
Please please AVOID!
Two guys, in building/ construction workers uniform, knocked on my doors to say "we are not trying to sell you anything.. we are fitting for your neighbours new windows and thought you would be interested in free no obligation quote for triple glazing windows?"
WHAT A JOKE! I later checked my street and NO ANY OF MY NEIGHBOURS had their windows fitted recently.
I agreed, not realising it's a scam, and after a few hours a sales agent came into my house. Stayed there for 1 HOUR telling me how AWFUL ALL other local window companies are and how amazing Peniciuk is!! First quote 15 thousand that then dropped to 5 and a half thousand!!!!!! *only for myself; amazing offer*
I could not get the agent out of my house as he kept pushing me to sell their windows!!! The agent then phoned his boss who told the agent on the phone to speak to my mother - to try and force her to come to the agreement!!
I AM DISGUISTED!!!! HOW DO THESE COMPANIES STILL EXIST???
And now I am getting phone calls from Peniciuk from 'unknown' numbers so I cannot block them!!!

"Refund of deposit"
After Penicuik cancelled my contract due to an error in the window sizes and wanting another £1500 approx I am still waiting for my deposit back I was told that it would be put back into my account on 15/08/18 (3 weeks after they cancelled) but to no availe I was then told my deposit would not be put through their system until 29/08/18 because of banking issues that Penicuik are having at the moment, I asked the customer care person on the phone if there was a problem with their banking system why I could not get a courtesy call to say that there would be a delay in getting my deposit back the answer I got was we have to many refunds to give out and it would be impossible to call everyone, I personally would steer clear of this company. Just a thought if there are to many refunds to be paid back and they keep delaying the refund are they getting interest on all the money in their account.
