"Worst housing company I’ve ever had to…"
Worst housing company I’ve ever had to deal with, damp and mould reported 15 months ago inspector came out still nothing done, complaint put in nothing done went to housing ombudsman and my mp still not doing anything, no telephone calls back. I withheld my rent for a month, they managed to call me, email and text me about that. Now in the hands of a housing solicitors, need to be on the tv show bad landlords

"Rent charges are ridiculously high"
Rent charges are ridiculously high, they claim they supply people with affordable housing and yet are anything but.. bleeding tennants dry every April with rent hikes. They say the service charges they charge on top of the rent are for the upkeep of the area and yet I've never seen anyone upkeeping the area.
In a nationwide cost of living crisis their motto is 'charge more, and bleed everyone dry so they can't afford the rent'.
Alot of their houses need updating with new boilers, kitchens and bathrooms due to them being old and warn out, mold, even their so called engineers tell tennants that certain things need replacing but nothing gets done. When they do repair things it's always a quick fix to substandard. They never ever replace them apparently due to the cost. Which is laughable considering the amount of houses they have and the rent they charge each tennant.
Some tennants live in houses barely suitable to keep a dog.
Disgraceful, Greedy, .

"Dont sell your home to Places for People ... deceptive timewasters. "
Places for People made an offer on our house, as a cash-buyer which we accepted. They did not disclose they actually didn't have the funds for another 4.5 months. They revised their offer,1 month after we had accepted based on a highly questionable valuation. They lead us all to believe they had completed their survey but in fact quietly delayed that for over 2 months. Having given us assurances that all decisions had been made, they then pulled out nearly 3 months later, solely because the cost of putting a couple of tiny wheel chair ramps in and changing a couple of doors for wheelchair access was "too expensive" ... something they could and should have decided before they made an offer. They have taken 3 months of marketing away from us and beaten us into the dirt. We moved out on the basis that they assured us that no further decision was to be taken and the sale would complete. We can now see how a "charity" can pay their CEO c£550K PA ... they are a property business and a highly risky one to deal with.
Update 26th Feb 2025: Further to the response below I have eMailed P4P on the email provided asking if they would like to discuss my experience, I await a response and will update this if they get in touch. I suspect there response was automated.
Update: As of 10th April - no reply to my eMail on 26th so their "response below" is just an automated "we are nice really" eMail that in fact confirms that they really don't care about anyone other than their own profits.

"Appalling customer service with ongoing…"
Appalling customer service with ongoing plumbing problem, mainly by the schedulers.
Missed pinned appointments and a P1 issue which should have been sorted within a week, now in its SIX month.

"Disgusting company"
Disgusting company, left with damp and mould since 2023 and no response to emails. Holes in roof since November 2024 left freezing with a newborn and a 3 year old, quick enough at upping your rent but leaving you in disgusting houses. Their communication is dreadful, regularly ignored and fobbed off, cant wait to leave they are a JOKE

"Complaint buried - cladding costs"
I made a formal complaint on 6 January and despite Places for People signing up to the code that I either get a decision or a reason for the delay within 10 days, I've heard nothing after their first response. Don't be fooled by the nice reply you get when posting reviews.
But I did get a letter that they want over roughly £1400 from each flat later in the year for lift upgrades. Quick to communicate when I OWE them money.

"Places for people builders/carpenters…"
Places for people builders/carpenters have done an amazing job on making a lovely fence for the front of my flat. I really appreciated how quickly they came out and the great job that they did.
My only issue with places for people is the building manager ignores emails directed to her and her manager is the same. I wish that she could be contacted to answer the question whether the cctv in our building is working. Amazon packages occasionally go missing and it would be reassuring to all residents if we could know whether the cctv is working or not.

"I worked for places for people as a…"
I worked for places for people as a plasterer. The company states that it has the best interests of there tenants at heart. I dealt with hundreds of customers whilst working there and 80% of them are not satisfied with the service they receive. Customers waiting years for repairs to be done. They have a big mould issue with most of there properties due too most of the time lack of ventilation.where acstractor fans have not been fitted or they don't work. Properties infested with rats mice cockroaches. Places For People are a buisness which like all big businesses only have one thing at heart. Money. How they get away with what they do is criminal. Snakes in suits.

"Help when you need it"
There is always some one on the end of a phone to help right now, if they can’t some one else does

"terrible"
Where do I start ? From the moment I moved in and the woman showing me around forgot to show me the damp although I asked ? It went worse well the damp got as bad as it could get and it took a year and the Ombudsman to sort it, I am now living in the same place but with drug addicts and alcoholics all night long in the other flats Places For People will not help anyone whatsoever they do not care. AND PFP PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR PATHETIC GENERIC ANSWER ON AGAIN
