"Don't waste your time or money."

They do not listen to their customers. They do not resolve or care about issues that have been "in their queue" for literally, years. I would not recommend this POS for restaurants. They claim to be "Lightspeed" "technologically advanced" when they can't seem to accomplish or resolve simple tasks that baby restaurant technologies (like doordash, Toast...etc) kick their butts in doing. When our contract is up, so our business with them will be also.

"6 Months Later Upserve Still Doesn't Work"

I signed up for Upserve in May 2022. The salesman told me it would take 4-6 weeks to setup and should be complete by the end of June.

It's now November 21, 2022 and Upserve installers have visited my business three times and its still not setup or working. Plus each time their installers visit I give them a free hotel room.

I texted the salesman who promised me it would be setup in June 2022 but he doesn't respond. I emailed the salesman multiple times and he doesn't respond.

Upserve charged me $474.35 per month for 4 months so far, even though the POS is not setup and is not working. The reason they started billing me is because they agreed the system would be setup four months ago. Now Upserve tells me it doesn't matter they agreed to that timeline and demand I pay them anyway even though it doesn't work and they can't tell me when they will send someone out to finish it.

They force you to sign a 36 month contract before you even see their system. Their backend is terrible and almost impossible to use.

I asked to cancel and it took exactly 8 weeks and 56 emails before they finally told me it wold cost $44,671.70 to cancel the 36 month contract for a system that after 6 months does not work. Asking them nicely a few times doesn't work, it takes 2 months to get a response to a question like that.

Upserve is so disorganized they don't even know what they shipped me and are asking me to send them an inventory of what I have, since both Upserve and their installer can't figure out what they sent me.

The Upserve installer screwed up our wifi, so that doesn't work in part of our hotel now. They won't fix it. Nobody has been here for over two months to even look at it or attempt to finish the installation.

I setup multiple phone appointments with Upserve and they never called me.

I had terrible experiences with Lightspeed, who owns Upserve, and Upserve is worse than Lightspeed. At least my Lightspeed system works. When Lightspeed stops working it usually takes an hour or two on hold before you can actually talk to anyone in support. And their support is usually worthless. I'm cancelling Lightspeed after this experience.

I chatted into breadcrumb support and was 9th in line. Times are crazy and it’s hard to get staff but I really didn’t wait that long before James was on the chat. He promptly and kindly located the ticket in question and confirmed payment through gift card. Very helpful, amazing support rep.

"Excellent POS System"

We did a lot of research when we were POS Shopping and selected Upserve for it's functionality and ease of use. We have been live for about a year and it has been a smooth process all around. The Upserve Support does a great job of assisting if/when we need it. I would highly recommend the Upserve POS System for anyone in the market.
