Just a painful experience all round.
I ordered a trike on the 11th May 2022, and delivery was prompt. I was so excited to get it assembled and hit the road. Upon the start of assembly, we found that the x4 main frame assembly bolts were missing from the frame. These are an essential part and we had to request on more than one occasion that these were posted to us as a priority next day delivery (BuyTricycle honoured this but did not offer, we had to request).
Once assembly could continue, we found several large areas of paint damage and once almost complete we found the derailer hanger wasn’t welded straight and the gears could not be set. We had to disassemble the whole trike and return. Luckily, Buytricycle honoured this return, but if you read the sketchy T&C’s, it implies that in some instances, this may not be the case.
Upon arranging a replacement we requested that a white trike was put aside, only to be told several days later that they had none of that colour way in stock (even though they were listed as available on EBay). We waited until the end of May for a replacement to be sent as their stock was limited (fair enough).
Several requests for delivery information ignored, we were finally told the trike would be with us on the 8th May…issues with Parcel Force apparently. Not once did Buy Tricycle update us on this, we had to call and chase the information ourselves.
We find the way this business is run baffling, and no where near an acceptable level of customer service. I now have a trike, which works but still has some paint defects and gears which can’t quite be set right (we got the replacement professionally assembled). The overall experience was horrible, and we were offered a partial refund as compensation but this was never honoured. I’ve been asked by several people where this trike is from but I won’t be recommending this company anytime soon.

"Manchester Gran loves her tricycle"
Love my trike! I am a 74 year old lady and since I received my tricycle last July I have been cycling around south Manchester nearly every day. I had a few frustrating moments last year whilst waiting for it to be delivered because of delays. But all good on the end. My son- in- law spent about 5 hours putting it together,then I took it to the local bike shop where they checked everything and put my basket on. Everytime I go out someone admires the trike or stops me to have a chat about it.
I recently had a broken part where the battery is attached. I emailed attaching photos and I received new parts within a few days free of charge. So excellent after sales service.

"Love me. Love my trike."
Having received my e trike,had it built by an
experienced bike builder who thought the brakes sent were a bit off kilter. No problem having these replaced, nor in sending the bike cover, missing from original box of goodies (and this even 'though more problems with post than with buytricycle.com caused further delays). It's always a wee bit annoying when things don't go exactly to plan but, sometimes that's just the way it is, no blame attached. Everyone I dealt with was very helpful and very pleasant (even when I asked the blindingly obvious question about whether or not I can remove the basket 🙈). Just wanted to be sure 😄.
Love my trike and after a go around my street, can't wait to learn how to use it properly and get out into the beautiful Perthshire countryside once the weather improves. Looking forward to a happy, healthier, mobile 2022. Thank you all at buytricycle.com. Monica, Perth, Scotland.
Just wanted to add, because of the extra stability of 2 back wheels, I have more confidence in sitting up straight and looking way ahead than I ever did on a push bike.

"Amazing Dream Machine and I love it!"
My e- trike arrived within advised time scale with no issues with any of the parts which were all well finished. The beautiful metallic dark green paintwork was far nicer than I had expected from the pictures.
Husband and son put it together relatively easily and after my first ride, I’m really happy with it.
It looks fantastic and moves so easily. An amazing dream machine. I love it. Thank you very much.

"I feel like I've been swindled"
***in response to your reply* - I still haven't received the missing parts you promised you'd send on to me though, and you are yet to respond to my emails directly, you can hardly blame 3 separate mechanics for that failing, that failing is yours*** I was so excited to recieve my tricycle. I'd saved up for ages and did lots of research and thought that by buying from a UK supplier and brand I'd be guaranteed quality but I have wasted so much time and money on this product and this company, I feel like I've been swindled. It started promisingly, the tricycle was delivered to me where I live in Italy swiftly and in one piece, but it went downhill from there. First there were the 'easy and simple instructions' which were not easy to follow at all, which meant I had to pay for a mechanic to put it together, only to receive a phone call from said mechanic who told me that several important parts were missing. I contacted buytricycle who told me they'd get the parts to me ASAP so I waited, and waited... after four weeks and no delivery I contacted them again and again, but no parts came. Needing the tricycle in order to travel over 3km to work and back, I decided to buy the missing parts and kept record of the expenses. But then there were continual problems with the chain coming loose and the gears being misaligned because of the substituted parts, within a month of using it my tricycle was unrideable. I tried contacting the company and their response was to put the blame on the three different mechanics I asked to independently look at the trike, that they had assembled it incorrectly. After sending two follow up emails, I have received no response for them since. I'm more disappointed than words can say. I don't earn a lot, and had saved for a long time to buy this trike, but I might as well have burnt all that money because that's how I feel at this point. To not even pay me the courtesy of replying with a definitive solution really was the cherry on top for me. So, so disappointing. Don't buy from this company unless you're prepared to pay as much again on mechanics and the like afterwards.

"Buy locally, it’s safer and cheaper than Buytricycle"
Hi, I’m sorry to have to say that the aftersales is deplorable 😕 having received the trike after a considerable wait - which is more than acceptable given the current Covid-19 situation - I attempted to follow the vague instructions. I decided not to try to assemble the trike and arranged with an excellent bike shop (Little Sport Bikes in Dublin) to assemble the trike. Unfortunately there was a part missing and the pedal crank spindle and front wheel were buckled. I contacted Buytricycle four times and eventually two weeks later, got a response after 2 emails, 1 web messenger service and 1 web chat with Andrew. He informed me he would send the new parts and a discount for the inconvenience.
I received the parcel the following week and booked the trike back in with my very helpful bike-shop and loaded up the car again only to be told I was sent the wrong part. I tried contacting Buytricycle again on web messenger and email, but got no answer. This was a birthday gift for my granddaughter and I had ordered the bike in plenty of time but as I had not received all the parts, then received the wrong parts, my local bike shop were still unable to complete the assembly. I then had to source somewhere that would manufacture the missing/wrong parts and get the trike completed. Later that evening I got an email from Buytricycle asking what the issue was. I went to the trouble of (again) explaining the issues and the fact that I was told there would be a discount refunded which I never received…….. and I am still waiting almost 3 weeks for a response!!!
Thankfully, Little Sport Bikes in Dublin came to the rescue and saved the day. Thumbs down for Buytricycle aftersales service and assistance.

A lovely tricycle. And a very helpful customer service. The tricycle was unfortunately delayed. However,the company kindly offered me a goodwill gesture of a 20 percent reimbursement of the total cost for the tricycle.

"My beautiful trike"
Having read all the reviews including those from the 1Star Generals for some reason I keep thinking Mr Kipling and Fruit Cakes.
The very minor frustration I had evaporated like mist when I saw my trike she is beautiful and top quality for the money.
Andrew was very helpful at all times the company could not have done more during this time of shortages everywhere, just visit your supermarket for proof.

Acabo de receber e de montar o triciclo comprado a Buytricycle. Parece-me um produto de qualidade e que vale o seu preço, ainda que tenha surgido com pequenos arranhões na pintura.
Pena que a empresa não responda às questões apresentadas, deixando os clientes na dúvida quanto à seriedade comercial.
Pondero a compra do Kit elétrico para o referido triciclo, mas...
Agradeço a Trustpilot a importante ajuda na solução do meu problema.
