"Does not honor advertised discounts"

Ordered two (2) items. Used one of their promotions on one of two items. They shipped the regular priced item. Canceled the discounted item. Product remained in stock on website. No explanation from company as to why item was canceled. Should have reviewed the ratings here before ordering. Left without gift for Christmas.

As of October 26, 2024, their website at "storehours" for their Glen Burnie store says their Saturday hours are 10am to 5pm. But their main web page says their Saturday hours are 12pm to 5pm. I was there on Saturday, October 26 at 1220pm and they were closed. I guess that's what I get for trying to support a local business.

"Ordered a tech suit"

Ordered a tech suit. They sent me an entirely different suit in a different size saying they will give me a %30 discount if I choose to keep it. Why not just cancel the order if they didn’t have my item? And why advertise and item they don’t have?!

"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SHOP"

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SHOP. They first sent the wrong tech suit color knowing that the one they listed on the web site was wrong. Then after I returned the suit (now they have it for 2 weeks now), they still did not issue a refund even after I called then a week ago. When I called a week ago, I asked them to call m back with a status when it is refunded. They did not call me. Now they say that their refund person is on vacation. They will not give me the number to the person who issues the refund and he is the manager. I will be filing a formal complain through my credit card company tomorrow if I don't get the refund issued tomorrow.

"Great speedo LZR Pure Intent delivery"

The experience was good. I ordered an speedo LZR pure intent, it arrived in great conditions and in 4 business days. I haven't tried it yet, but it seems fine. The only thing I had trouble with was tracking the order and contacting the company via email. The overall experience was good, I would buy again from them.

"Horrible Customer Service"

Horrible Customer Service. I purchase a few items from here after recertification of my Lifeguarding certification. I purchased two of the CPR rescue kits(I’m guessing the stander ones they sell). I was carrying one to the stand for my shift and it opened up spilling the contents all over the including one part rolling into the pool. Well this was only the being, it doesn’t close right keeps opening when ever touch picked up or touched.
I call Metro and inquired about this problem, first it took me forever to explain the problem. The customer service person just did not understand how hard was this to understand. I was on the phone for about 25 mins. And the final was they were sold out of all Lifeguarding equipment. Well, I hung up just called again yesterday and asked if they knew the manufacturer again different person still she did not understand what I wanted I asked for someone else and didn’t even understand that I was told to call back tomorrow.
The run around is horrible DO NOT support

"Expensive suit blow out after 1 swim. Metro swim shop doesn't even bother to respond."

I purchased an expensive Arena tech suit for a Championship meet. My son wore it once and it split wide open when he tried to exit the pool (He's 19, very embarrassing).

We are an Arena sponsored team and he has been fitted correctly for his suit and was wearing the correct size per arena. It was clearly defective. After talking to other swim parents they have had the same issue with the same suit. Swim outlet stood behind their product to keep a customer and refunded the money. I have reached out to the with photos taken immediately after the blowout, and have gotten no response. They have horrible customer service. At the very least respond!

"The worst swim supply store you can deal with"

I had been a customer for several years, despite their outdated website that does not keep accurate inventory, because their prices were low. However, they have permanently lost my business because their customer service is the worst out there for swim supplies. In the past, they wouldn't send orders in a timely manner (so I never relied on purchasing a tech suit needed in a short amount of time) and I occasionally got the wrong items (ordered a swim suit, received a jammer) which took even longer since I had to send back before getting the correct merchandise. But the most recent egregious, and last, order was a joke. They sent me the wrong color backpack and didn't include a pair of goggles because they were sold out. I had to inquire as to why, no note included. The incorrect color backpack was because they discontinued the color I ordered so they just decided to substitute a different color. This took time for me to get the straight answer, from a very grouchy associate. So I had to do a second order, pay for it, then send the original items back and wait to get reimbursed--all because instead of calling me, they just decided to substitute. The 30 day return clock was ticking, not to my knowledge. The backpack they sent was taken to the embroiderer and I received it back in less than a week. Three days of my daughter using it, the backpack tore in red places so I contacted Metro Swim Shop on Day 33 and was told that there is a 30-day unaltered return policy. There was nothing they offered to do, so I told them that they've lost my business forever and they said ok. I am not ok with a product I paid for to last 3 days, unless it's food. SwimOutlet and Swim2000 has good sales prices and excellent customer service, as well as Arena and TYR. All 4 of these companies have overnighted things to me that didn't work out, and they all have sales that now top Metro.
Go to the BBB website and read their customer complaints, then avoid this business.
