"Gold Standard Moving and Storage was…"

Gold Standard Moving and Storage was disappointing. Several items arrived damaged, and the delivery was delayed by days. While the staff was friendly, the lack of communication and care for our belongings left us frustrated and unsatisfied.

I am a member of the military, I was contacted by Gold Standard when I had requested information on a moving site for moving carriers to contact me.

THEY ARE NOT A MOVING CARRIER - THEY ARE A BROKER!! THEY SUB CONTRACT YOU OUT TO THE LOWEST BIDDING CARRIER TO PICK UP YOUR STUFF... IF YOUR STUFF EVER EVEN GETS PICKED UP.

I was contracted to have all my belongings picked up from the base housing I was living in back in October 2021. The movers never showed up and the representative at Gold Standard told us that they "would get back to us with a resolution"... They never did, and despite many many calls and emails they had never coordinated our move.

I ended up needing to find a local mover on my own to get me and my family out of our base housing and put all our stuff in a storage unit we could figure out what to do because we were moving out of state, all without the service from Gold Standard that we paid $2500 for!

Gold Standard agreed to refund our money, but to this day, we have yet to see a single penny of our refund.

"Trash company"

Do not trust any five star in the comment. The company is completely garbage. Almost all my items are damaged. They are only friendly to you before delivery. After they took your items, you wouldn't heard from them. They ignore your message, hang up and call back your phone call. Also, they even gave me a false claims number. Oh yeah, my delivery fee when up

"Be very wary"

Be very wary. I set up a move in Aug 2021 and put a deposit down, cancelled 3 days later and still have not received my refund in almost a year (currently July 2022).

They were only friendly and professional during the intial process and have been unresponsive to calls and emails to their support.

"Amount Refund"

I have been waiting for my refund since 2019. They said I should get some time soon in Feb 2022, not they are saying that company was shut down. They can not refund my money.

Very bad and shame on Company and CEO of Gold Standard.

"DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY"

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Same story as everyone else: paid my deposit then canceled as my "gut" told me something not right. Received email that my refund approved 11/3/21....now April 2022 and have not received my refund. Made several phone calls during this time. Last on 11/30/21 was told refund would be sent by Jan 31 2022. Now when I call I am on "eternal" hold..no one answers.

"Fraudulent company"

Fraudulent company. Believe all the negative reviews. I paid a $1300 deposit for movers after my mom died. They never showed up. They agreed to refund me. At first they said 3 weeks this was Sept. Then they said January. And now they are saying when their legal department clears whatever issue they are having. They send me emails saying they will refund me after I call but I've gotten nothing. I've been waiting over 8 months at this point.

THIS COMPANY IS HORRIBLE. DO NOT USE. They are a BROKER not a mover - and due to repeat FRAUD they have lost their brokers license. I paid this company to move my belongings cross country and they hired a third party to transport my goods without my knowledge. The third party company put my property in a storage unit and LEFT THEM THERE FOR AUCTION. This company of heartless pathetic people will steal your money, and you will never see your belongings again. I paid for a service I did not receive. Gold Standard Moving and Storage has stolen my money and left services unrendered.

"FRAUD!!!"

FRAUD!!!! 100% a SCAM! My parents paid half of their $2400.00 up front to these crooks. They wouldn’t provide any information on the actual moving company showing up until they were there. Even then they did their best to make it sound like the truck that showed up was a reputable moving company out of New Jersey, “Falcon”. After I researched their BU# and their MC# I found that yes the company is “Falcon”, however not the Falcon they led my parents to believe. These clowns are out of Rochester NY and are under investigation. FRAUD,FRAUD,FRAUD. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY WILL TAKE EVERYTHING THEY CAN AND LEAVE YOU WITH A DRAINED BANK ACCOUNT AND POSSIBLE LOSS OF ALL YOUR HARD EARNED BELONGINGS.

THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED. THIS IS NOT OK.

"This company is a scam. Do not give them money."

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! It is a scam. We asked for an estimate and paid an up front cost of $3,543. After we received the estimate, we found another moving company that would be able to do it sooner for the same price, so we cancelled our contract with Gold standard moving and storage. We were well within the 10 day refund period and should have had that deposit refunded. We received an email that said "refund approved" and we should be receiving that refund within 12-14 days. That was in July of 2021. It is now December 29th and we have not received a refund. We have called multiple times over the last few months only to have an angry customer service person tell us "it's coming!" unfortunately we read the negative reviews after giving them money. It seems many other customers have experienced this. Do not engage with this company. Do not give them any money.
