Had great fun using the Beryl e-bike in Brighton yesterday. Would recommend! A minor billing issue simply resolved by Max via chat on the app leaves me feeling very happy and looking forward to using the bike again!!

"Excellent ride, slightly dispiriting cost."
I'd say the riding experience was really good. I had a bike with a slightly loose (but entirely safe) basket at first but was quickly and automatically refunded and took another bike that was excellent. My only issue is with the cost. Given that the bus is still cheaper, I think I would only use Beryl if I had no other cheaper option. It needs to be ideally cheaper than the bus but of course they have running and set up costs. A trip to town (17 minutes) cost me £3.72. The bus costs £2. Even with a 100 minute bundle where you could commute to and from work 3 times, the bus would still be £4 cheaper. Although you can leave immediately rather than wait, I think it will remain a niche option until near cost parity is an option. Paying 100% extra for the privilege of cycling yourself is laudable and excellent in many ways, but I don't think the majority will go for it. People tend to vote with their purses...

"Helpful support!"
A bike lock glitched and charged me an extra £10. Thankfully, Max from support helped me return my payment as fast as possible and was extremely kind too.

"Really gone downhill"
Really gone downhill. Messages answered by bots, n sent round in circles, when there is a reply itsdismissive. . Beryl account in Bournemouth does not work in Worcester, but no way of knowing this. Bikes being replaced by poor e-bikes at £1.50 per hire (cannot pre-pay), bus
return is £2.00. Bikes in increasingly poor condition. Without warning had to re-upload ID, but no support to do this.
I'll be walking or driving in future, shame because Beryl used to be great

"Consider using Uber"
Consider using Uber; it may be more cost-effective in the long run. Not all bike share schemes allow riders to park between designated stations, but this one does. However, this feature is only temporary and not recommended. If you exceed the short time limit for parking between stations, an exorbitant penalty fee is applied.
I’m currently visiting a UK city where this bike share scheme is available, but there are very few stations and they are spaced out. In this situation, I would expect the flexibility to park between stations, as trips often involve multiple stops—going from point A to B, and sometimes C and D as well. With limited stations, at each stop in a journey, riders should be able to park and retrieve bikes without facing excessive penalties for simply relying on the service. In this case, I would have been better off getting two Ubers.

" Absolutely ripe off"
Its absolutely ripe off, they charge me £5, because I leave the bike outside the parking zone, is the bike have no power to assist and find it difficult to ride so I have no option but to abandon the bike, made complaint and they even did not respond. Avoid avoid avoid, very bad customer service .
Thanks for your response, you talking about providing reliable and good bike, and to contact you, I have already sent you an email to your complaint department and have not heard anything, so why can you as good customer service contact me ai1967_2athotmailcom?
