"Not usable - Cycle share system in Cornwall"

Cycle sharing system in Cornwall, including St Austell: 21 bikes for 21 stations:

8 a.m., Sunday, April 28: It is not possible to rent bikes at any of the 11 central rental stations in St. Austell, they are all empty. The bikes are at stations on the edge of the rental area, 12 of them at two stations alone. But no one returns them to the central stations. Although support explains that it will happen “soon”, but nothing happens. When asked, they explained that they didn't know when this might happen. There is hardly any notable change in the situation throughout the day. Rentals are impossible. The bikes are not usable. But apparently no one is interested in changing the situation.

At Eden Project, one of the premier sights in Cornwall, which is also known throughout Europe, you cannot rent a bike, the station is always empty. It was the same the days before.

The rental system doesn't work. It is also not clear that this is really wanted. The sole purpose seems to be to give the impression that Cornwall can distinguish itself as modern and sustainable.

The high rental prices fit into the overall picture. Apparently the aim is to deter customers from using the bike sharing system.

Conclusion: Stay away. The rental system is unusable. It's not worth dealing with, it's a waste of time.

"Absolutely over priced"

Absolutely over priced. Voi scooters in Birmingham gave users 7500 minutes a month for 50£ and beryl gives you 300 minutes which is meant to last you a whole month, or other packages where you spend 1£ to unlock. Massively over priced. 300 minute is like 4 days usage to most people if they travel to work and recreational activities. You’ve killed active travel in the West Midlands. Disgraceful. No wonder the bays are over flowing as no one can afford them.

Useful service, dropped car off to garage and cycled back twice now. First bike worked but not particularly well. Second bike was great!

"Very understanding and friendly"

I made an honest mistake and like an idiot forgot to end my ride on the App and ended up paying much much more than I normally would. Emelia in the customer service team was very understanding and was able to see how long my ride was and immediately refunded the difference. Extremely quick and very forgiving customer service!

"The bikes are good, scooters not so much"

The bikes are good, I like them, but the scooters are not as good as the Voi ones we used to have in Birmingham, so rigid, uncomfortable, and clunky and the cost is silly, I could have got a taxi for the price of the scooter ride in the end.

Just like anywhere else, had sike food interactions and some bad interactions with customer service but usually they're very good and give me the outcome I want, most recently dealt with someone called Scott who was very prompt with helping me out
