I have been generous giving 1 star but the service with them is shocking there is no communication with them i have to do all the work they should provide me with a hire car this has proved to be nightmare

This company promises a courtesy car then doesn't deliver it. We've spent all day telling them that I work as a nurse and travel 30 miles to work and need the courtesy car urgently, after many phone calls I've been told there is a short supply of cars, why then take my car for repair knowing that it's essential for me to get to work. No emails to explain the situation, no offer of paying for a taxi!!!!!! SHOCKING SERVICE TERRIBLE WHEN PEOPLE LIKE US ARE LOOKING AFTER LIVES!!!!!!

This company doesn't even deserve 1 star. Their customer is absolutely HORENDOUS. They dont have a system that for simple liaison and updates. Every time I call, I get a different agent and I NEED TO RELAY EVERYTHING like a PARROT. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR 3 MONTHS. I'M glad I am bald, otherwise I would be pulling out my hair. I GIVE UP. HELPPP ME PLEASE.

Sopp & Sopp are a complete waste of time. My advice is if you get a registration number and pass it to your insurance company. A guy from Tesco reversed in to my unoccupied car. He done the right thing to give me the Sopp and Sopp number and reference number. I contacted them many times, with them saying they will call back. They never did call back! At one point I was told that a manager would call the next day! Surprise surprise... no call come. It was only when I told them I will call Tesco myself. Within 10 minutes they called back to say Tesco has approved the repair. Do not trust a word this company says to you. I am now going to seek compensation for my calls and time trying to resolve my issue. I do not hold out for any joy.

"Like so many other reviews poor show, don’t use"
Like so many others a good initial experience but then down hill from there on. As requested I sent photo’s and the estimate for repair and then nothing….. then over a week later I chased and they claimed to not have been able to contact the repairer. I tried and got through first time. Then they claimed not to be able to supply a suitable hire car and suggested I take public transport. I found all major hire companies had suitable cars and policies. They are just lazy and don’t deliver.
Update: There was no improvement in their service. I spent a whole day on the phone being told there were no superior staff that I could talk to. I even tried to call Jamie Sopp - the big boss. Eventually I did get passed through to Active-Group’s complaints department (they supposedly don’t have phones) and finally we hours later I got a replacement car. It’s just not good enough, the staff on the phones need training and there needs to be a simple clear route to escalate issues. Best avoided at all costs.

"Sopp & Sopp- what a joke! Shocking service and terrible company"
Yesterday my parked car was reversed into by an Argos van, the driver had tried to leave the scene when a neighbour collared him. The driver somewhat reluctantly, filled out a form, he stated that it looked like he had only touched the bumper and that it was barely noticeable. Sopp and Sopp contacted me a couple of hours later, assured me it would be dealt with swiftly and that the repairs could be done at my property. I was then asked to take photographs of the car from different angles, showing the damage and other bits. On closer inspection, the bumper had been cracked, the front grill pushed back into the engine compartment and the bonnet pushed up to the windscreen wipers, I had to start the car to take a photo of the mileage with the engine running and on starting the car the noise coming from the engine was horrific. Reported the extra damage and was advised to submit on email. No-one came back to me and I had to ring back 3 times before being told that the repair company were no longer accepting the car as it had to go into a bodyshop. Rang another 4 times already today, one advisor had me on hold for almost 20 minutes then cut me off, rang back and was told they had issues with calls dropping. Pathetic excuses, the whole set up is ridiculously inadequate. Promised I will be contacted within an hour and a half, will update this review IF i get the call as promised. I cannot belieb=ve the incompetence of this company at all. Going to do a similar post on their Twitter account and see if that has any more impact!

"Good to start...downhill from there"
Initially very good service, quick and efficient and pleasant to deal with. However, my car went in for repair and was returned after nearly 3 weeks, delayed twice. Not their fault although very little contact from them to keep me updated. When I got the car back they had not repaired the front bumper, got back in touch with Sopp and Sopp who requested CCTV, which I sent to them after that I heard nothing despite repeated calls and emails I have still had no response. I have now had to get this repaired myself so I can return the car. My car is a lease vehicle and was due to be returned shortly after the incident happened, as such this has now cost me in excess of £1200 on excess costs that would not have occurred if Sopp and Sopp had fulfilled their duties. I will be taking this further, making a formal complaint and seeking to recoop these costs.

"Very poor after sales service"
Original communication was good and my car was booked in and a hire car arranged for me. I wasn’t too happy about the distance that the repair garage was away from me (26 miles). My car was collected and taken to Activate accident repair. My car was away for approx 1 week and was delivered back to me. The repair that had been done was very good, however when I got in the car to drive it I discovered that my left rear indicator was no longer working. The repair that Activate accident repair did was the left rear corner! I called activate and was told by them that they had not touched the lights and the car had been checked in quality control and it was all fine and they could send me pictures if I needed them. I then called Sopp and sopp who said they would speak to the garage and come back to me. After a couple of days I called them again and they assured me that they would get back to me. It has now been nearly 3 weeks and no one has called me back. In the meantime I have had to have my indicator repaired otherwise I would have been without a car. Extremely poor after sales service. Would not recommend.

"Horrendous incompetent service"
Horrendous incompetent service. Starts well in that they contacted me immediately after incident when a Sainsbury’s van hit my parked car. But after that initial phone call - nothing. I had to make repeated phone calls to progress the matter and after 12 days of no progress at all and repeatedly being fobbed off I decided to involve my own insurers who picked up my car for repair within 24 hours. When I informed S &S that I had referred the issue to my own insurers the lady put the phone down on me !
