"I have the Starkey Livio going on 45…"

I have the Starkey Livio going on 45 days now. I only have hearing loss in my right ear so I only need one hearing aid. The sound is good however I do get some feedback. I can’t hear people on phone calls even if I turn up the device. This is frustrating to say the least. Also, I have noticed that many times on a TV program, I can’t understand a person. If I turn up the TV and take my hearing aid out I can understand with my good ear. Turning up with the TV and leaving the aid in, I can’t hear. Lastly, connecting to the App on my phone takes forever. I have to tell people to wait a minute until I can adjust the sound, also frustrating. I don’t think Starkey is for me. I had Signia before and did not have these problems.

"Doesn't hold battery after warranty expiration"

On 4/3/19 I spent $5000 for Livio hearing aids. Last year (2022) shortly before the warranty was up they did not hold the battery charge and were sent back for repair. 10 months later they no longer held the charge. The charger works but the hearing aids of today 3/13/23 hold a charge for about 2 hours. I also purchased a TV streamer for another $500 that doesn't work consistently because of the low battery. Is there any way to resolve this without a big financial cost and a fix that is guaranteed more than a few months?

Avantages ilsont peu nombreux le principal est que les prothèses auditives tiennent bien dans les oreilles car faites sur mesures avec prise de l'empreinte dintra auriculaire
Inconvenients ils sont tellement nombreux que cet espace n'y suffirait pas à les énumérés certains sont inadmissibles
Inconvénients majeurs
1 morphologiquemt sont enormes peu discrets
2 l'effet Larsen  lorsque l'ampli rentre en ascillation  l'elctronique devrait immédiatement etouffer cette oscillation: inc'esttin admissible
3 Starkey Grance dedaigne repondre aux questions par mail
4 mon smartphone via thrive permet le reglage des volumes sonore mais pas la connexion pour la musique Starkey repond ce n'est possible qu'avec vertains smartphones il faut transiter par leur émetteur bluetooth incorporé dans leur micro nomade: inadmissible
Bref il y a tellement d'inconvénients que je ne puis ici les énumerer
6 les batteries rechargeables e mode streaming tiennent à peine 4 heures ce n'est pas assez inadmissible
5 l'amplificateur met en exergue certains bruits inutiles au détriment des conversations  c'est Insupportable
7 pas de stéreophonie on ne sait pas
8 coutent tres cher
d'où vient un bruit

"Inferior quality replacement parts."

I have model Muse 1Q 12000 Starkey.
For the first 4 plus years I used them they were excellent. However the ear bud and ear retainer replacement parts now are of inferior quality. The ear buds are less rigid than the previous ones and have to be constantly adjusted. The ear retainer, i.e. the filament that stabilizes it in your ear is rigid and does not have a memory, after placement it straightens out and projects from my ear. It is embarrassing on a zoom meeting as I am continually pushing it back in place. Also, during general wear the retainer is sticking out of my ear making it look as if I am not wearing them correctly. Serendipitously I had the right hand hearing aid sent in for repairs recently; it came back with the original style parts and has given me no trouble. As it is now the replacement parts are of inferior quality. I have less than 6 months to go until they will be replaced as per BC Workers Compensation rules. I am looking forward to changing to a better brand. I used to wear them all day but I just wear them for meetings, telephone calls etc. now/

"I am very happy with my hearing aids"

I am very happy with my hearing aids.
The only problem is that I live in Malta and we have warm weather 8 months of the year. The hearing aids goes off as soon as they get moist .

The one-on-one experience with a live person face-to-face. Tim and Claudia are great. Within reasonable I -- and my wife -- can drop in any weekday for an emergency tweak.
And I love the ability to easily tailor my Starkey to the situation I find myself in thru the Thrive app.

"Although my hearing aids do help me to…"

Although my hearing aids do help me to hear better I still struggle to hear people in many situations. Background noise has the most effect on my ability to hear. Keeping my hearing aids paired with my phone is another problem. I can't depend on my hearing aids to be paired when I need them to be paired. I check to make sure they are paired every morning when I put them in, but I will still be surprised occasionally when they are not paired when I get a call. I have tried different aids and even a new phone. I give up and will just have to live with the situation. I can't wear hats either. I get feedback noises if I try to wear a hat.

I read your response to my review. I have worked with my provider many times. She has even returned my aids to Starkey a few times. As I stated at this point it is just easier to live with the problems. They mostly work and the frustration of getting them to pair dependably isn't worth the effort.
