"Absolute joke of a company"

Absolute joke of a company. Receive online valuation, really nice guy comes out promptly and polite - car matches condition exactly, agree on valuation. He then phones ‘upper management’ who decide ‘they don’t want to buy that kind of car at the moment’. Waste of everyone’s time - when I phoned them to ask when they would want to buy ‘that kind of car’ they didn’t know.

"Scam"

I decided to sell my car through the autotrader system, which use Manheim.
I had put a quote through a couple of times on the website to see if any repairs might bump the price up. In my final quote I was fully upfront about all issues, worse than the actual condition of the car as I didn't want to be haggled down (it is laughable that they claim they dont haggle). This quote for the worse condition of my car was £1200.
The representative who came to meet me was absolutely wonderful, really professional and decent. When he sent the information through to Manheim, they claimed I had not declared alloy damage (I had declared all 4 wheels) and that I had claimed I had both keys. I am certain that I did not claim I had both keys and additionally mentioned it on the phone while scheduling the appointment. They were then apparently "really not happy" with the car and it turned into a negotiation. My original offer went from £1200 to £500. An absolute insult and with no logical calculation for the issues they claimed were a problem. You never receive confirmation of what you have input when applying for a quote so they basically can say you put whatever they want into the system. Anyone using this service should be very careful and take their own record of what they enter into the car. They don't double check condition with you as they claim they do on the phone call so I believe it is intentional and a way of defrauding their customers. Avoid!

"Fair, efficient and friendly company"

So pleased I chose to go with Manheim over the dealership! They offered me the highest price of all the places I was offered a quote from. It was really easy to book an appointment. Mark Hindson was the agent that came to view the car and buy it and he was absolutely lovely, he was also really efficient and quick. I would 100% reccomend this company and would say be totally honest about the condition of the car before arranging a visit as this gives the best chance to get the price you were quoted on booking the appointment. Mark spoke through every step of what he was doing, looking for and what wpuld happen next. Thank you so much to Manheim and especially Mark for also giving me advice and tips about buying my next car! :)

With regards to Susanna Ferris who came out to check my car and I have to say you could not wish to meet a better person, extremely polite extremely knowledgeable and extremely honest, she did everything expected over and above, she was also very very respectful to me and my car, not only that by the way she arrived right on time unlike anyone else I’ve ever had to wait for, I really have to give this young lady 10 stars out of 10

"Excellent service"

Excellent service. The man turned up first thing. Took loads of photos then went for a drive around the block. We got the price they said we would and the money was in the bank within minutes. All I say is tell them everything wrong with your car so the estimate is correct.

Great service. Daniel arrived on time having messaged to say he was on the way. Very courteous and professional throughout. We received the money in the bank within 5 minutes of completing all the paperwork with him, price as quoted plus a little extra as the car was in such good condition. Very happy with everything and an easy process, would definitely recommend Daniel and the company

Received a quote on Monday from Manheim/Autotrader Instant Offer (20% higher than WBAC.com)
Was offered an appointment for Tuesday but was busy with work so arranged for Thurs PM, got a message from Ben advising he had as cancellation so could come AM instead. By lunchtime the full offer price was in my bank account.

The whole process has been seamless and every member of staff we have spoken to has been genuinely eager to give a great service. Special kudos though to Ben our appraiser who went through everything in detail.

Would definitely use the service again. If you are using then I would say just be realistic on the condition of your car etc the quote is probably for A++ condition so if a tyre has close to the limit tread on, things like that may mean a reduction in the cost.

Advertised my car with Autotrader, Facebook and Motorway.
Of these 3, the best price I was offered was Autotrader which initially matched Motorway but Motorway then started making reductions for what they called Scuffed alloys which was incorrect.
WIll from Manheim was punctual, courteous, pleasant and gave a very fair quote which I was pleased with - definitely more than webuyanycar had quoted. All in all a smooth process. Money was on my bank within the hour and DVLA proof of keeper transfer arrived shortly afterwards.

Autotrader-Manheim purchased my car today. Steve was professional and very thorough - a delight to do business with. They confirmed the price quoted and purchased the car with the money being transferred into my account within 15 minutes. My experience was that this process was quick, precise and very professional. Also, I note that no other online car buying offer was as high, The nearest one being £1,200 less.
