Complete cowboys - don't waste your time. Will offer a high price intially to get to look at the car, and will then forensically examine it for any minor defect to justify taking hundreds off the price. Have had a far better experience with WeBuyAnyCar.

"Piggy in the middle"

Do not enjoy playing 'piggy in the middle' where the car bought on my behalf from Manheim is being held ransom by Manheim for payment of others. Understand that companies need to protect themselves but surely a conglomerate this size has better mechanisms in place to recover outstanding payments that do not affect the end user.

Customer service has been helpful in providing updates when chased up.

Wish I’d read the reviews before contacting this bunch of cowboys.
Offered £16,790 for my beautiful 4 year old car. Even the inspector said it was a “head turner” but lo and behold came up with issues on the bodywork and wheels that not even I could see with a microscope. I asked what about the many optional extras fitted but he said they buy “number plates” not cars. Tried to get me to accept £15,000 but told him to go forth and multiply.
Sold it on Auto Trader for almost £18,000. A complete sham of a company and these sharp tactics should be outlawed. AVIOD.

"Efficient Service - Highly Recommend"

I’m surprised to read negative reviews about this company- my experience was superb. I was selling my deceased step-father’s car and the service from the initial call to the actual sale was efficient and effortless. The inspection on the day was thorough - but fair - and I received the £2600 they had suggested at the outset. The money was in my bank immediately upon agreeing to sell electronically via email. I had previously contacted Motorpoint - shocking service - and We Buy Any Car; both had only offered £1200. I am so glad I persevered and contacted this company - I would highly recommend!

All the pre inspection stuff online and email/text as smoothly efficient as a cobra lulling its prey into compliance. Only to be whacked by their scam 'inspection' which of course reveals 'issues' you never even knew were there!
Offered 8,400 online then, surprise, surprise 7,600 on the day.

Staff at BRISTOL BRANCH are truly unprofessional, misleading and malpractice is a routine. Recently bought a runner car online as due to COVID auctions are not open for public.
When i got to collect car, the presented a collection form with *NON RUNNER* written on top.
There car check system and grading is a joke. Just trying to sell all scrap online due to the fact that no one can actually see the car in person.
AVOID BRISTOL MANHEIM! VERY DODGY.

Excellent service by Kowsar Alam. I went through auto trader and was quoted an online price for my vehicle. My appointment with Manheim was booked for the following day, which was a quick response. I received update emails. I read the reviews the night before and became concerned with previous customer’s experience.
However all my concerns disappeared when I met Kowsar Alam who came to inspect my vehicle. He clearly explained the process and answered all my questions. He examined my vehicle in my presence explaining each step. He offered the same value for my car which was online. He explained the paperwork and he waited until the money had been proceed into my account. Thank you Kowsar for the excellent service provided.

I did this through auto trader and the customer service I received was really good, well explained to me about what would happen and text reminders about my appointment. Sakhuer the inspected came and was really friendly and helpful throughout the whole appointment. I got the same amount for my car that was stated online which I may say you have to be truthful with what is wrong with your car in order to get an accurate price. The appointment didn't take long and my car was sold! It was such an easy process and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to sell their car quickly without going through the hassle of private selling. I want to thank sakhur for the excellent customer service and just being a lovely guy. I done this process on the Thursday and they picked my car up on the Monday so really quick. Overall I was very happy with my experience with Manheim.

"What absolute rubbish customer service…"

What absolute rubbish customer service you have. I sold a car through Manheim. Your company is picking the car up, it hasn't been picked up yet. I asked if when the car is being picked up the tracker I left in the car can be unplugged and dropped in the letterbox. It is literally unplugging, but your guys won't do that. That is NOT what customer service is like. I won't be selling a car through you again or Autotrader, I will stick to webuyanycar.

"Just sold my car"

I called to arrange a valuation visit and was very impressed by the agent I spoke to in terms of being very clear about the state of the car and the buying process etc. When Ross the valuer came, he was very professional and following inspection and a test drive he offered the amount given online with the 'instant offer'. Payment came as soon as the paperwork was complete. I was not looking forward to the process but it turned out fine. Ross was a pleasure to deal with.

I was concerned about the number of negative reviews of Manheim but perhaps people post such views to cover their disappointment. To me, the message is be very truthful about your initial online description and don't expect too much. My experience was 'five star'.
