We had a situation while renting our vehicle and the Manager handled our situation really well.

"This place is a huge scam"
This place is a huge scam, just read literally every review posted on google, yelp, Facebook, it tells you all you need to know. They rent shoddy cars, force you into getting their insurance, then file claims and want you to foot the bill. I have never regretted anything more than renting from this fraudulent company. They are going to seriously injure or kill someone with their poorly maintained cars and in the meantime will try and steal as much money from victims as possible. I encourage anyone with the same encounter to file reports with the BBB and the DA’s office because they need to be shut down. Their staff is blindly doing what they’re told and deliberately leave out information so that they can charge you for an already trashed car later.

"This was the worst rental experience of…"
This was the worst rental experience of my life. I went to their 408 Carnegie Ave location in Jersey. They start off by not having the car type that I reserved. Ended up with a minivan. But that was the least of my worries. I paid for insurance on the vehicle, got a slight scratch on the wheel well and I'm now getting charged over $5,700 for repairs. Thats insane. Stay away from this company at all costs. It's a complete scam!! How does a scratch cost $5,700?!?
I wish I could drop my rating to 0. Please beware of this company. They responded but just gave me their office number. I was connected to one of their front desk employees that then told me that he doesn't handle these matters. Once again this place is a scam. Their insurance doesn't cover anything and they're trying to charge me to repair the vehicle for all its previous damages.

"Never again!"
Never again!! I got pulled over and was almost left on a highway in the middle of the night bc they rented me a car that had no registration for almost a year. When I called the next morning they had the nerve to ask me of I could drive it back to them. I am still waiting for a manager to call me back to get refunded for a car I had no more than 1 hour. Do not rent from Newark Airport location. You get what you pay for.

"I never knew Ace Rent a car existed…"
I never knew Ace Rent a car existed until this past week. I had some issues with the added protection but Nick helped me a lot to resolve the issue. During the ride in the shuttle several customers were complaining but I wish I can correct them after Nick had helped me. He was constantly on the phone and he really proved customers are always right! Hope to
see you again ACE !

"This rental company is sketchy to say the least."
The first car they gave me began overheating on the first day so I had to return to the rental lot (an hour away) to exchange it for a different car. The 2nd one was a great car and I had no issues. However, when I returned the car, I received the receipt stating that there was no damage and everything was fine. When I called 5 days later to see why my deposit had not yet been released, I was told there was damage to the car. I've spoken to a manager who still can't tell me how damage was discovered AFTER the car was returned and the receipt was sent stating there was no damage. It was a brand new car... I know for a fact there was no damage to it. Now I can't get anyone to call me back with an explanation. As a travel agent, I will certainly never have a client rent through Drivo ever again.

"RUN AWAY"
In some cases, ignorance is bliss but I believe this is not one of them. The miles to empty is 470 miles Total Range per the agent the miles to empty depends on how you drive and yes it does but 200 mile difference "I don’t think so) DTE (distance to empty) calculation is based on recent mileage not overall or average MPG. It’s unfortunate they did not know this information, As I would have filled up and put gas and they should have check before sending to shop, so i would say they found out this information after the car went to shop. You will force people not to report issues in fear of being charged (No good deed goes unpunished) , which if there was an issue your next client will have to deal with it, now give two customers with a bad experience. You have painted an unrealistic picture and minimizing the chances of resolving the issue. You have lost a customer and will give my reviews to all my friend Family Coworkers social media and advised them never to report an issue and do not rent a car from you, it might be cheaper but in the long run you will spend more. The manager was horrible the worst, would not listen. As I advised Manager, I'm not a car mechanic and I believe there is an issue. I would pay for the gas (That is not an Issue) but paying for the car mechanic this is crazy and I had full coverage. this review is about my own genuine experience

"Terrible experience, questionable manager and staff"
The worst experience I have ever had with renting cars. Rented a car with "ACE-rent-a-car at 408 Carnegie Avenue, Newark (EWR)". The manager and staff at that location are shady and questionable character. Avoid this place and go for any other place. Thought I got a good price only to end up with a bitter experience. It was highly unsatisfactory and distasteful. Never again!!! Not worthy of even a Zero star, rent at your own risk, you'll be better off going for a higher priced rental.

"Fraud alert against Ace/Drivo or Computer Glitch"
I rented a car from Ace/Drivo 124-10 S Conduit Ave, South Ozone Park, N.Y @ 1618 pm on 12/7/21. I returned the car 12/11/21 @ 7:05 pm. They billed me for an extra day stating I returned the car on 12/12/1221 @ 13:36. I have proof I was on a plane @ 8:20 pm 12/11/21 out of JFK. Drivo checked the car in the next day after I flew out of JFK. These people are thieves and thugs and they bring their culture to a car rental and give their culture a bad name. Before you leave Ace/Drivo make sure you receive your closing statement. Do not leave without that statement. I complained to my credit card company American Express that this company Ace/Drivo is overcharging and committing fraud against the card. American Express chose to reimburse me because I had proof I was on the plane. They chose not to go after Ace/Drivo because the amount of $18.90 is negligible. I'm going to try and take this further because this is fraud and if they do it to a number of people this is a lot of money. Thank God I have my receipt and my airline ticket. I also complained on the Better Business Bureau website. This company is rated F and not endorsed by BBB. Beware! You do not have to get there Insurance despite Shokhrukh Khaytim pressure to do so. This company undercuts the reputable car rentals by offering low prices. They make up for it by stealing/adding fees.
This is an update: Because I stated I was going to pursue a fraud case. They sent me the correct time I logged the car in and reimbursed me $4.30. I still plan to log this information because of a prior suit bought against them to pay a fine of $80,000 for fraud. I have pictures of both times they sent me concerning my car return. They did not reimburse me the proper amount my American Express did.
Update: Nick called and apologized for overcharging me and submitting the car on the wrong date/time. Ace/drivo reimbursed me $30. They are still insisting the total was $167.38. I have the original receipt from Expedia and Ace/Drivo that states differently. I sent the information to Nick from Expedia and Ace/Drivo original receipt. I still maintain if I did not have proof of my airline ticket Ace/Drivo would have maintained I returned the car the next day. I called this company twice. The first time they insisted I returned the car on 12/12/21 and sent me a false copy of a picture with the wrong date with the car mileage. The second time they hung up on me.
12/18/21 update: Shaun/Sean called this morning apologized and stated it was a glitch in the system and I rented the car for 4 days instead of 5.
I'll let you the reviewers be the judge.

Hello Vinnette,
We work hard to provide a fantastic experience to everyone. It's discouraging to know that you were not satisfied with your recent visit to us. We double checked your case and have figured out that you have been charged correctly. According to your reservation you have 5 days of rental. Your pickup time was scheduled to 12/07 @4PM, drop off to 12/11 @7PM and the total was $167.38.
The fact that your rental agreement was closed the following day led you to confusion that we charged you 1 extra day: however the total remained the same, it was still $167.38.
We would like to bring you our sincere apologies for this misunderstanding. Please be advised that today we have also applied a reimbursement for this confusion. The details were sent to your email address we have on file.
