"I placed an order online for a medium…"

I placed an order online for a medium size pineapple plant for my son a week before Father's Day ( on a Monday) that they guaranteed would be delivered in time for Father's Day (the following Sunday) . They offered 2 sizes, I opted for the medium size. I received an email late Wednesday that they apologize that they can't fulfil my order as they are out of stock on the size I ordered, but they would switch it out for the smaller size if I approved that or refund my money. I opted to continue with the order and accept the smaller size since it was already Wednesday. I was later advised that this would not be delivered in time for Father's Day. I argued that it was their fault for not telling me they were out of stock for two full days after placing the order and that I needed it to get there in time for Father's Day. They offered to send it FedEx 2 day delivery and that it would be delivered Friday before Father's Day. Today is Friday before Father's Day, and I just received the tracking information (that I had to request since it never came) only to find it will not be delivered until Monday after Father's Day. Terrible experience. Terrible customer service. Don't order from this place unless it makes no difference to you when it arrives. I have no idea what the plant will look like or how hardy it will be, but I guarantee I will never buy from this place ever again and I urge everyone else to stay away.

I had my doubts about ordering plants online and all my concerns were confirmed! 2 damaged and completely dried out plants with brown leaves. The little palm tree must have been upside down for a while during transit. Never again!

Got a peace lily for Mother's Day. No blooms just a huge bushy leafy plant with holes in leaves. I called and emailed customer service several times. Refused refund, told me to give plant away. Dont buy from this company as they do not stand behind their guarantee.

I received a Chinese money plant as a gift. It arrived with a full blow thrips infestation…. Just unpacking the box in my apartment spread the little buggers to my other plants…. They are near impossible to get rid of so use caution when ordering from lively root. They guarantee & will replace plant but the damage was already done.

"More like dead roots than Lively Root!"

I bought two plants from Lively Root. They ship via ground, so 7 days later my plants arrived dying/dead from the trauma and cold of shipping despite their “ship hardy” claim. Not surprising given the huge holes in the single-wall box, and the “heat packs” were frozen solid upon delivery. Customer service credited me a single replacement plant, which supposedly “ships hardy.” The plant I chose could tolerate the cold, but the 7 days of ground shipping and frozen heat packs also led to the plant dying three days later. For reference: I own many plants of multiple varieties and none have died. I also have ordered from other online plant delivery companies, those plants arrived within 3 days, and none of those plants died after arrival (they’re still alive and thriving). I contacted customer service about all three incidents, no reply on the replacement plant, and my honest reviews of the plants with pictures were not posted by the company on their site. I do not recommend buying from Lively Root! Choose another plant delivery company who ship in double-wall boxes and with 2-3 day shipping if you want your plants to survive after arrival.
