"Predatory Practices – Do Not Use Green Motion Greece"
I reserved a car through Green Motion in Rhodes via Expedia. When I arrived on the day of my reservation, I was told they had already given my car away and had no others available. I had to scramble to book a last-minute replacement at a much higher price. I was told I wouldn’t be charged—but later found out they billed me anyway, claiming I was a “no-show.”
My credit card company agreed this was wrong and resolved the dispute in my favor. But six months later, I was stunned to learn Green Motion and Expedia had submitted the charge to a debt collection agency. Expedia’s support response? “We are subject to the policies of our rental partners.” That’s not customer service—it’s deflection.
A quick scan of Trustpilot shows I’m not alone: nearly half of their reviews are 1-star. Common themes include broken reservations, surprise charges, and false accusations. This isn’t bad luck—it’s a business model. Avoid at all costs.

"Police Involved at Athens"
I was expecting a Green Motion representative to be present upon our arrival, as they had collected our flight details in advance. However, upon arrival at the airport, we had to wait approximately 45 minutes alongside two other customers for someone to take us by shuttle to their off-site location to collect our vehicle.
Additionally, we were unexpectedly charged an extra £15 for using a debit card, despite specifically booking through “Clarify Car Hire” because they advertise compatibility with debit card payments.
The vehicle collection process was particularly disorganized. No representative arrived at the airport for over two hours, and we were instructed to return the car to the rental office, despite our agreement clearly stating that the return location was at the airport. The situation escalated to the point that I had to involve airport police in order to return the car key to a representative. Eventually, someone did arrive, just as I was about to proceed through airport security.
Overall, this experience was highly disappointing and unprofessional. I have submitted a formal complaint to Clarify Car Hire, a company I regularly use, to report this incident. I would strongly advise against using Green Motion for car hire services.

"Good day-trip car rental experience "
We booked fiat500 for a day trip in advance in 04.2025, but in the pick-up the great representer George gave us an upgrade for bigger car.
Even we had to take car back next morning, we could arrange the return as soon as we got back in town.

A fuir! À Corfou, nous avons tapé notre code de carte visa premier boîte les 806€ de caution. La personne a ensuite fait un sans contact de 25€ sans notre autorisation, prétextant que notre carte était une carte de débit et non de crédit (ce qui est pourtant mentionné au recto de la CB)
Ils ont été odieux et ont catégoriquement refusé de nous recrediter. Aucune facture ne nous a été délivrée pour cette opéra frauduleuse. C est juste un vol!

Dear Green Motion team,
I am writing to formally report a shocking and unacceptable experience we had with your Green Motion agency in Corfu.
Not only was the original agreed-upon price unjustifiably changed upon our arrival, taking advantage of our limited understanding of the local language, but your staff also made offensive and discriminatory remarks against Arab people. This kind of racist behavior is completely unacceptable and goes far beyond a simple customer service issue.
In addition to the discriminatory comments, unauthorized charges were made without clear explanation or our informed consent. This feels like a deliberate scam.
We are requesting an immediate refund of all unjust charges. If we do not receive a prompt and satisfactory response, we will have no choice but to report this incident to local authorities, review platforms, and anti-discrimination organizations.
We expect a serious and professional response as soon as possible.

"À fuir absolument"
À fuir absolument, une véritable arnaque !
À notre arrivée à l’aéroport, on nous a informés qu’ils n’acceptaient que les cartes Visa crédit et refusaient toutes les cartes Visa débit, même si celles-ci fonctionnent parfaitement ailleurs. Leur objectif est clair : pouvoir débiter des sommes sans restriction.
Ils nous ont alors proposé une “solution” : payer un supplément de 500 euros pour utiliser une carte de débit. Une somme totalement injustifiée. Nous avons essayé de proposer une autre carte au nom d’un conducteur secondaire, mais ils ont refusé catégoriquement, sans chercher aucune alternative.
Nous étions quatre clients dans la même situation au comptoir. Pourtant, on nous a rejeté la faute, en prétendant que tout cela était indiqué “entre les lignes” du contrat…

Rented a car from Green Motion Preveza. This is the third time I have done so. As in the past everything was good. Chris was helpful and very nice to deal with. I will rent with them again.

"Nissan Micra from Preveza, good customer service"
Hired a Nissan Micra from Preveza Airport in April 2025. Collection and return was very easy and efficient. We were served by Chris who was very friendly and explained the process and paperwork to us. The car was a bit tatty but it was a very cheap price for a week and it served us well. Chris was very receptive to a fault on the car we pointed out to him. We will use again.
