"If I could give them negative stars I…"
If I could give them negative stars I would, worst customer service ever experienced, incompetent staff, ask to speak to a supervisor, lmfso good luck, donuiurself and favor and choose any other provider, has to better than these incompetent people

"Excellent customer service"
I wish other companies were as attentive to their customer service. Tek Savvy was wonderful when our modem didn't work. We have Tek Savvy at two locations and are totally satisfied.

"Always down"
Always down, super slow speeds, overpriced for the horrible speeds you get. You usually get around 2mb download speeds

"Absolutely trash modems"
They sell absolutely trash modems that break in a year and do not stand behind their products at all.
At the same time, the service is pretty bad and super slow. Not very reliable internet so if you need a good secure provider this is not for you.
Avoid this company and go with a reliable service

"Not only great internet service, BEST customer service i've ever experienced"
I've been a customer with TekSavvy off and on for at least 12 years. I've been with them at multiple difference residences around Toronto (basically every place I've lived where I had the choice to get my own internet). They piggyback on Rogers' network so if Rogers has issues, so will TekSavvy.
I moved into my current building in fall of 2022 and unfortunately in this building there have been more issues than I'm used to experiencing with TekSavvy. My roommate and I both work from home full time and we decided that the connection issues in this building with Rogers weren't reliable enough, so we've switched, but let me just say, the 5 star rating isn't just for the otherwise very reliable, fast, and cheap internet, but it's for the CUSTOMER SERVICE and TECH SUPPORT.
I have now spoken to 2 other ISPs and gosh I miss calling TekSavvy. Their agents are actual humans with actual opinions who don't just read off a script (in fact one of them even helped me do research to find the best option for a new ISP even after he knew I was switching away from them, and he already knew a lot off the top of his head, they know the market).
I don't want to say they 'care', but compared to Rogers or Bell, they actually treat you like a person (and will have casual conversations with you) and that makes such a difference for me. Most times I have to call any company for customer support, I just get frustrated and feel dismissed and unheard. Why do most companies make this such a painful thing? I guess most of the time we don't have a better option so they can get away with it.
If Rogers' network was as reliable in this building as it has been in previous residences I've lived, I never would have switched, and I will definitely plan to go back when I move next.
Hopefully I don't have to call for support with my new provider. Just the phone calls for installation were bad enough.
EDIT - Found out shortly after I left this review that TekSavvy put themselves up for sale. That definitely puts a big asterisk on this. I'd have to wait and see who buys them but wouldn't expect the customer service to remain as good.

"My internet was out because of a…"
My internet was out because of a general outage but after outage has ended, I still haven’t got internet, so I called their tech dept , the first tech told me it’s Bell’s problem so she opened a ticket then a Bell tech called, after a series of tests , Bell tech concluded that problem was with teksavvy & he took the time to call teksavvy to let them know …then I called the 2nd time , the tech told me she could not access her system & she’d have to call me back , so I waited an hr but she never called back … I then called the third time & I was lucky enough to get Dhaval, he took the time to solve the issue in a courteous & professional manner ; often checking with his supervisor when there’re glitches & he double checked with me to make sure internet & teksavvy tv are both up & running! Finally I’m back online after 4hrs & 15 mins ,they also perform a software upgrade on my router ! I couldn’t help but praised Dhaval for his persistence in finding & solving the problem but he was so modest & said that he was only doing what he is supposed to do …
The 4 stars are solely for Dhaval & his supervisor , teksavvy is lucky to still have some responsible & dedicated employees!

"I am so happy with this company"
I am so happy with this company. I had to disconnect my service for awhile because the cost of living is skyrocketing with no end in sight. I just got home internet back. And I went straight to these guys. No limit on usage, no surprise horrendous bills. Just constant internet service.

"Horrible Technician!"
Horrible Technician!! A technician was supposed to come out today between 8am-2:30pm. Even got the text to say they were on their way at 8:30. No one showed up and there was 2 of us here the whole time. I called customer service asking where he was, she put a message out, called me back saying that he said we weren't home. LIES, no one even came in the driveway let alone knocked on the door. And the earliest they could get was 7 days away. They lost a customer before I even started LOL. I will not be recommending them to anyone.

"This company has horrible cutsomer…"
This company has horrible cutsomer service. I have contacted them multiple times over the past 3 years to take me off of my ex husband's account. Can they figure that out? No.
Fast forwards and now my ex wants to cancel his service through them. They tell my ex I have to do it but when I call, they tell me my ex has to do it. They will not cancel the service and continue to shift the blame between us.
Terrible company. Would never recommend them to anyone.

"Unreliable, terrible customer service and slow when you need it."
I used to have their service for 5 years. Unreliable, slow in peak hours and absolutely suck in customer service.
They charged me for a connection in my new house, set an appointment to install the service, then they rescheduled the installation to almost a week later without bothering to let me know while I was sitting home from 8:00am to 4:00pm that I called them asking about it.
So I canceled the service and got a much much better deal from Cogeco.
Now it is my job to return their modem.
I don't know who in a right mind would rather work with them if there is an other service available.
In most areas they rent other services lines to deliver their services anyway.
