Had my bike serviced and repaired. Took a day longer than originally anticipated (3 days rather than 2), but they called to let me know (and I expected it, as I knew my bike needed some serious work done on it). Driver Dan was lovely. They called me to approve extra costs in advance, as well.

"First time I’ve used HaveBike"

First time I’ve used HaveBike, and have to say it was a positive experience. My bike had a particular broken part, so I phoned to ask which package to book it in on. Got a friendly assistant who suggested the 29.99 one and then they’d call me once they’d made an assessment to advise on any further repairs and possible parts needed.
A friendly helpful driver called Theo picked the bike up on the Sunday booked for the pickup. Got a call on Monday lunchtime with another friendly assistant who talked me through the mechanics report and what the costs would be. All very clear and reasonable, reasonable pricing for the repairs, and nothing outlandish suddenly discovered that would cost loads extra.
Bike got returned by Theo on the Thursday as had been initially booked.
Fast turnaround, which was appreciated as I couldn’t book the bike into any of the local mechanics for weeks due to them being too busy. Great service as well, bike feels much tighter to ride and everything is running very smoothly.

"Worst experience I’ve ever had"

Worst experience I’ve ever had with a company.
Call centre is based abroad and absolutely useless.
They promised a two day turnaround on their website-2 weeks later and no one knows where my bike is.
Save your money and go somewhere (anywhere) else.

"More in sorrow than in anger"

At the moment I am in dispute with havebike as they didn't service my bike satisfactorily, were unable to do do what I asked and now will not speak to me about a refund despite a promise to get back to me within five days.

"No! Just no. Use the local independent family firms!!"

This is the first time i have used this company and the idea sounds great but the reality (on my experience so far) is poor. The idea of a "quick" turnaround is in my eyes a week at most. I have not had my bike back yet (nearly 2 weeks) and other than a week ago after 10 phone calls and no reply and an email coming through was i informed that parts were needed and i would be kept informed. I have yet to be informed of a date or if the parts have been fitted etc etc. The people on the end of the phone are nice but only ever take details and say a call will be returned but this has never happened. I would not recommend. I would not use again and the guilt i felt initially for dismissing a busy local independent bike repair is well and truly there.
Local bike shops - i will be coming to you in future - sorry for ever doubting!!

Overall really happy with the service I have been provided. From a logistical perspective the pick up and drop off service is particularly useful which is why I initially chose Havebike. Both drivers Theologos and Joao were polite, timely and went above and beyond to be informative so thank you to both. Once I ride the bike and test it properly I'm sure the ride will be equally as good.

Only constructive piece of feedback for improvement I would give is that I had to call a number of times and had to speak with various people at the office to process a discount and also to discuss the additional spend. I couldn't get through to the right person each time I called and I had to leave details and message each time. However I was called back eventually and all was sorted in the end so would only suggest to improve the customer service team availability to get things sorted a bit quicker. Overall great service so thank you.

I've used HaveBike twice now, opting for the "Deluxe" both times, and have been really happy with the service both times. HaveBike communicated really effectively through the whole process from pick-up to service to drop-off, making the experience feel personal and transparent.
