"Worst Indiacakes.com - Cheating people"

Hello team.

Indiacakes.com is a really pathetic webpage, i had placed my first order with no reviews checking and i was fooled by them like hell.

I have placed chocolate truffle cake (worth 450 rps) on June 25, 2024 to be delivered to my kids. After placing order, received an email notification to pay another 275 rps as delivery charges and till then order is on hold. During order confirmation and checkout there is no delivery fee mentioned. hence, i declined to pay and asked to refund amount paid for the cake. Attempted to contact team through emails, calls which were mercilessly disconnecting when asked for refund.
They are cheating people with no business served.
Please take action.

Overall very bad experience. It was my daughters birthday. I ordered some chocolates and cake for her order reference2407012275 . They didn't deliver the items saying it was ganesh chaturti. They could have atleast intimated me this when I ordered and I could have arranged somethin else. When I started asking questions, the lady from customer care disconnected the call. I have send a mail to the customer care for cancellation, yet to find whether I will get a refund. Now I don't have an option to send a cake since it's already evening on her birthday. Any way thank you for a wonderful experience india cakes. I am writing this reviw hoping no one else have to face this kind of bad experience.

Placed the order on 3rd September 2024.
No updates till the morning of the delivery day. Only when I reached out through email on delivery morning , received an email requesting additional 275 rupees and they put the order on hold. After paying the additional amount there was no response about the order status. Very worst service.

Finally the cake got delivered and it was not same as what we ordered.

Customer care experience was perthitic, never received comments like any customer care. Simply the cut the call and go.

I have mailed for refund and cancellation. No response from them.

I placed an order for both a bouquet and a velvet cake, but to my dismay, I only received the cake at the last minute. What's more, the delivery person had the audacity to ask for an additional Rs 200 as a delivery charge, which felt like a threat rather than a genuine request.
I had already provided my address during the order placement, so I fail to understand why this extra charge was suddenly sprung on me. Left with no choice, I had to pay the extra amount to ensure the delivery was made. When I tried to contact customer support to address this issue, my calls went unanswered, leaving me feeling completely ignored and frustrated.
Not only did I not receive the bouquet I ordered, but I also had to pay extra for a service that should have been included in the initial payment. This experience has left me feeling deeply disappointed and aggrieved, especially considering the cost of the lost bouquet.
I expect a prompt resolution to this matter and a refund for the unnecessary delivery charge. The level of service I received was unacceptable

They mentioned free delivery but they mentioned city center place in chennai called out of city and asking for more delivery fees on delivery date, even through after paying the fees they didn't deliver the cake or provide refund.

Cakes were expensive, delivery charges were demanded in the last minute(location given while ordering is far, which the website failed to mention while ordering), delivery date was postponed(not given on the occasion), ordered cake was not sent(reason being the cake is not available and will send a different one). Customer care personnel is very rude, keeps you on hold and hangs up. By far the worst service availed ever. Website and company is run by incompetent morons.

1. while ordering website did not mentioned about the shipping costs (even though, we have mentioned full address of delivery) and already the cake was expensive (3 times the normal cost)
(time spent: 45mins)

2. couple of hours later comes another email to pay Rs. 275 for shipping costs with a payment link
(time waited: 2 hours)

3. with disappointment already, we are forced to pay extra shipping costs. Since we dont want to spoil the little angel's day, so made the payment.
(time spent: 20mins)

4. The elapsed time passed, cake not delivered.
(time waited: 4 hours)

5. Called customer care number +91 20 6622 2222 multiple times. Waited on call but none speaks. call drops after 10mins.

6. spent time contacting through chat/whatsapp - No proper response.
(time spent: 30mins) already emotionally/mentally disturbed a lot looking at the kid.
Thank you Indiacakes.com - you succeeded in spoiling our day because we chose you.

7. Called customer care the next day ( +91 20 6622 2222 )
same, waited on call and no voice from otherside. time spent: 30mins.

Overall - I lost my time, money and energy.

but not sure why they kept shipping costs for undelivered/unattempted cake. But, thanks for all the fuzz and refunding cake cost.
