"Outstanding customer service from Brooke at Barbour"

Outstanding customer service from Brooke by email at Barbour direct. Purchased men’s wellingtons which were letting in water for the 2nd time. Even though I did not purchase from them directly I was unhappy with the price I paid and thought to go directly to Barbour. They offered me an exchange. Her customer service was prompt and efficient. Extremely helpful. I can see why Barbour has such a good reputation.

"Barbour Liddesdale"

Barbour Liddesdale - I’ve had two of these now - poor quality. Stitching issues with both. Pocket is peaking off on the latest which is only a few years old.

"Barbour Laire - beautiful, soft leather over the body bag."

Recently I bought as an emergency need, a Barbour Laire Leather sling Bag, on my way to a funeral, to complete my out fit.

It was the perfect find, not too dressy but smart and comfortable; made from beautifully soft, black leather with a smooth matt finish. Not ostentatiously large but large enough for my to get all my necessary items in it; with a separate inner zipped section suitable for keys and purse and a larger open section for my phone and another partitioned section for a small makeup purse. it is inner lined with matching coloured silk and comes with an adjustable strap.

The half moon slightly "C" shape, fits snugly to the body, when worn over the body; which I prefer to for extra security.

For such a lovely genuine leather hand bag I felt it was quite reasonably priced.

"Pheasant socks (large) too tight."

Pheasant socks (large) The tops were too tight, unable to get on. Received as gift, could not return. Customer service not helpful. I had to cut the tops to get them on. Obviously ruined them. Manufacturing fault.

"Excellent customer service at factory outlet"

Visited the Barbour factory outlet in South Tyneside to return a brand new jumper I received as a Xmas present that was far too big for me. Technically I wasn't entitled to a refund or replacement as the article was bought in October 2024, thus only having a 28-day return policy ( I went January 4th, 2025 ). We spoke to staff and asked the manager to honour a replacement as this was an unused gift.
They eventually agreed, and I chose something with an equal monetary value as the gift.
I would like to commend Caitlin who was very helpful and polite throughout; I have to say that customer service today was excellent.

"Barbour gloves poor quality"

I was given some Barbour gloves for xmas and was really looking forward to wearing them, however they have been a big disappointment. After wearing them twice a hole has worn through the outer material on one of the fingers, despite them not being used for anything other than carrying a few packages. The outer material appears to be a type of felt which I would say is unsuitable for gloves. They were bought on line and so it was not easy to pick up on things like quality, so you rely on the brand name to give assurance of the quality, which in this case is sadly missing.

"Poor quality, poor customer service "

Wife bought a jumper, wore it twice, about 6 hours max, never washed it, was bobbled and looked like a year old jumper after those washes. Took it back to shop who agreed with quality and sent it to Barbour for a replacement or refund, Barbour refused to do anything about it and advised my wife to buy a debobbling tool. £60 jumper, terrible quality and appalling service.
