"Terrible Customer Service, Shoddy TV."
I bought a Sharp 40" inch TV, BUT after 5 months I switched it on,
but all I could see what bars and lines going up and across the screen, so I has it sent away for repair, but a few days later they texted me to say they cannot repair it as an "impact" was made to my TV. They suggested that I had deliberately damaged it, why would I do that for ? This was around 4/5 weeks ago, since then I have spoken to several PC World staff but they just fobbbed me off wit excuses. Today, phoned SHARP having spoken to 2 people, the first person did not seem interested at all, then she passed me off to her supervisor, (probably got fed up with me) who said virtually what the first woman said, and again I felt like I was treated like I had taken a sledgehammer to my TV. I will never buy any SHARP products again, even some of my friends and family are disgusted by the way I have been treated since my TV was like this, and in support of me, they have vowed never to touch a SHARP product again...Terrible customer service and shoddy products...USELESS is what they can only be referred as.

"Dont buy Sharp appliances"
I recently purchased a sharp dishwasher from curry’s, had the appliance 2 weeks and it wouldn’t work . I contacted sharps customer service where they arranged a repair . On the day of the scheduled repair I received a text to tell me had cancelled due to not having parts even though they had not looked at my dishwasher. I called Sharp to inform them I was disgusted that I had taken a day off work £100 . They then said I could get a replacement but I would have to go to curry again even though I am disabled . My neighbour kindly took me back to curry’s to be told they don’t have in stock and I will have to wait a further 2 weeks . Emailed customer service who replied trying to blame curry’s, I have returned the email very annoyed baby this and still waiting for a reply . Load of rubbish. I would not recommend anyone to buy Sharps product due to the terrible customer service you receive . They very good at saying SORRY !!!! Not good enough

"Bought a Sharp TV less than 3 years ago…"
Bought a Sharp TV less than 3 years ago from Tesco and remote has gone faulty. Neither Tesco or Sharp want to know getting passed around. Customer service non-existence.
You would think in this day and age with retailers and brands disappearing they would want to keep up their reputation but obviously not. Will not go near Sharp products again - Be Aware!!

"Probably the worst TV I have had the…"
Probably the worst TV I have had the misfortune to buy.
Bought a Sharp TV model No. LC-40FG3541KF less than 6 months ago so far I have had nothing but trouble Sharp have sent me two software upgrades, taken the TV away for repair and it is still faulty. At the moment I am waiting for it to be collected again for them to try again. Tried ringing Currys/PC World for them to repair it only to be told that Sharp will not allow anyone else to repair them under warranty so there is no choice but to keep sending it back.
My advice to anyone is stay well away from Sharp TVs
Update 30/1/19
TV has been away again and come back, still has original problem, have asked for my money back to be told to take it up with Currys/PC World. Unfortunately Currys won't refund any money until they have checked out the problem, although earlier they said they can't repair Sharp TVs.So at the moment my TV is away for the third time with no word as to when I will get it back.
Again I repeat stay away from Sharp TVs

"Washer dryer from sharp"
Washer dryer from sharp. Do not buy! my experience is exactly the same as Dev Null so I won't repeat the whole story. I am left with an expensive machine which does not work and I am in a situation where I can do nothing. The engineer that was sent does not seem to know how the machine operates and keep saying that there is nothing wrong with the machine. I was offered to be sent this engineer a 3rd time so I refused (if he is unable to sort it out the 1st and 2nd time...what is the point??). Anyway he told Sharp that there is nothing wrong with the machine. I feel a slight contradiction here. It is also obvious that the person at the other end of the line does not understand how the machine is supposed to work. I think nobody does!!

"Great customer service."
Recently had dealings with Sharp customer services and I can't rate them highly enough. They dealt with my product fault, quickly and arranged a swap, like for like. The whole process was handled in a friendly manner and with great efficiency. Special thanks to Andrew from customer service.

"Sharp QW-D21I492X Dishwasher"
Sharp QW-D21I492X Dishwasher
I have had two of these dishwashers now and each one has broken after less than a month!
Terrible product! I will be switching to a different brand and will not be using Sharp again.

"Beware of their "customer service", avoid them if you can."
I recently purchased Sharp washer dryer.
After just a few months, the dryer stopped working. There was no error code, it took the normal drying time (and energy) the washing just came out completely wet. I tried everything I could think of, different cycles, different loads, but it was pretty clear that it wasn't heating upanymore.
I checked all the pipes, troubleshooting, online help, etc etc., nothing to find.
Thankfully, I had registered for the warranty, and they have the stickers on the machine with all their warranty promises "next day callout - repair or replace" etc.
When I called them up, the woman on the phone was very rude, first she asked me if I just maybe hadn't put enough washing in, or too much, then she asked for all my details including serial number, all of them I had already given when I registered for the warranty online, but she insisted she still needed it . Then she said she needed me to send a proof of purchase, gave me an email to send it to and was ready to hang up when I just managed to ask what will happen next.
She said they will send out an engineer, but just for my information, if the engineer find that the problem is in any way my fault or a result of the installation I would have to pay £90.
How am I responsible for the installation that was carried out by the engineers I booked from them?
The engineer called the next day and said he could come the following day (so much for next day call-out)
I called him to check that I am not missing something here, but he assured me it happens quite a lot.
When he came (20-year old student), he opened the machine quickly and found that a wire was loose and the thermostat had been reset.
I took him 5 minutes to fix.
A month later, I get a bill from Sharp for £90, overload error.
I am puzzled, especially since the machine has a load detection system!
I feel like this is just a handy scheme for them to make some extra money, I have separately booked more experienced engineers for other repairs for not even half the price.

"Sharp ES-FA6123W2"
Sharp ES-FA6123W2 - I purchased this washing machine for £125 with free delivery. For this price I must say the machine is an absolute dream. Made in Turkey, modern design, slim, quiet, well built, good quality, lots of good washing settings and features. For this price it was cheaper buying this than repairing my old INDESIT. I imagine with the Turkish Lira devaluing so much that all electronic and electrical exports from TURKEY will be very cheap for us BRITS for the time being. UPDATE - 13/01/19 - been using daily and still super as day one. FURTHER UPDATE 13/08/2024 - still working like new 6 years later !

"Unbelievable experience"
When we had our Sharp dishwasher installed just about 3 months ago, I've registered for a 5 year warranty.
This morning, after opening the dishwasher door, I've found that the soap dispenser lid was completely deformed - as if the water was too hot for it - now it won't close at all.
Seeing that, I picked up the warranty certificate and called number displayed on it as Sharp service: 0333 577 7230.
The lady that picked up seemed completely uninterested - I think I've heard her eating something and was waiting for her to swallow each time there was time for her to answer.
She asked me a bunch of standard questions, but when I said that I had a warranty certificate number, she said she doesn't have access to it and wouldn't be able to identify me by it?
At the end she asked me to send the purchase receipt (good thing I kept it) by email and that someone will be in touch within 1 working day.
This is the last item we ever bought from Sharp - disgraceful customer service.
UPDATE
The first call was made on Monday - today is Thursday and I still haven't heard from anyone, so decided to call back. Initially they couldn't find my email with the receipt - after a while they managed to dig it out.
Apparently head office said it was due to the misuse, which got me furious - I've sent them picture of the damage - you can clearly see that lid had deformed due to the hight temperature, which was caused by the appliance. There is no way, it could be caused by user lack of understanding how to operate it. I've sent the complain to the same email address and waiting to hear back, but will probably have to involve some legal entity to deal with it - I don't want them to get away with it.
