"Terrible Experience - Wouldn't Recommend Catch"
I purchased a wardrobe from Catch, and it was a nightmare from start to finish. The product arrived incomplete – half of the items were missing! I had already organized a handyman and had to pay him $150, even though he could only assemble half the wardrobe due to the missing parts.
It took over two weeks for Catch to send the remaining items, and during that time, I wasted countless hours chasing them through emails and phone calls. Their idea of compensation for their massive mistake? A measly 10% discount.
Now that the missing parts have finally arrived, I’m stuck paying another $150 to get the handyman back to finish the job. The whole experience has been frustrating, costly, and a complete waste of time.
I’m NEVER shopping from Catch again. Consider this a warning to others – avoid these muppets at all costs.

Your refund was only 10%, just $27, while I had to spend an additional $150 to hire a handyman! On top of that, you wasted a full month of my time. Don’t reply here just to claim you've refunded me to cover things up or else I’ll leave another negative review.

"Broken Oven Delivered - Twice!"
Ordered a Devanti oven. Opened the box and the front door glass was smashed. 2 weeks dealing with Catch to get a new oven delivered. 4 weeks later new oven arrives and the front door glass is smashed again. Catch also refused to collect the first broken oven, we had to dispose of it. Second delivery same problem. Don't know if it's Catch or their delivery company but I'll never buy from there again!

"Worst experience ever"
Worst experience ever. I bought an item that was advertised at $159 (seller was Digidirect). I received a completely different item. They told me to send it back so I could get a refund and that I wasn't entitled to receive the item I initially ordered because there was a pricing mistake. Then they updated the price of the item I had bought to $356. These guys should be sued for misleading consumers with fake ads and false pricing. This company is a scam!

"MASSIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE FAIL!"
I was trying to simply buy a mobile phone with some accessories. The first attempt charged my card and then I immediately received an email saying that the order was cancelled due to "strict security protocols"!!!; after they charged my card! Due to "security reasons" they would not tell me what the problem was!
I checked that my account has sufficient funds, tried two different cards, deleted extra addresses in my catch.com.au account, checked my card restriction settings - of which there were none, checked with my bank that they were not blocking the transactions – they were not.
I tried processing the purchase SIX times over the next three days, each with the same result.
The customer assistance from catch.com.au in my case was a spectacular failure! I received standardised emails saying sorry, not sorry, can't help due to "strict security protocols"; even after speaking with a real person (who was helpful within their capacity).
This has been THE VERY WORST purchasing experience of my six and a half decades of life and such a huge waste of my time and energy.
I’m done with catch.com.au for good and will relate my horrible experience to my entire family and all of my friends and business associates for years to come.
Hey catch.com.au, try actually helping your next customer to actually resolve a purchasing issue; you may just keep them.

This was the exact process that I have already been through; with the"payments team" simply sending me a standard fob-off email.
Update following a second email from Catch on 25/9/24.
So, this is the email I received today as a follow up to my Trustpilot complaint. I'll let you decide if anything that they have said attempts in any way to resolve my issue!
PS. I have had zero issues using the same payment methods to buy stuff from other merchants.

I understand and can see how this can be frustrating as you wish to know more details as to why your order was canceled, as it did not pass the systems security checks. As stated in our Terms and Conditions, Catch uses fraud detection software to protect our company and customers against potential fraudulent purchases.
When an order is placed, our fraud system will review the order and make a decision to pass or reject the order based on the information provided. This process is instant, and the customer is notified via email whether the order was successful or declined.
Whilst we are not privy to the checks that are undertaken by security companies, we are unable to advise customers of the exact reason why the order was cancelled.
Due to an increase in online fraud, we are stepping up with protecting our customers against fraudulent purchases.

Bought a rice cooker that bubbles over and makes a mess due to the lid not securing and the bottom layer of rice is like a plastic disc. I explained issues and sent a photo with my refund request and then was asked for a video. Have since been refunded so would be happy to buy from catch of the day again.

"Garbage company with garbage customer service and garbage security measures in place "
Garbage, difficult company that has all these security issues surrounding “security risk”, yet when made apparent to the payment team they said that it was unsuccessful due to security risks and that it’s not guaranteed that payments will be successful in the future. Lots of back and forth with the customer service agent, receiving vague pre written answers that doesn’t even solve the problem to begin with and waiting back took 1 whole day repeating the same prewritten answers. What’s the point of opening an ecommerce company if you won’t sell? Anyway good luck losing money due to loss of buyers, you’re lucky that the only thing going for you is your prices are somewhat competitive. Can’t wait for another platform to outcompete and deliver stellar customer services and actual people who solve the problem instead of wasting time running around the oval. Do better
