Created a CV and happily paid £2.95 for it via my debit card. Today I was charged £16.95 for a monthly subscription I never agreed to. This is in effect 'stealing' as money was taken from my bank account without consent (monthly subscription hidden in small print which even I missed). I have politely asked for a refund and cancelled the subscription I never signed up for to prevent this from happening again next month. The customer ID is: 188328175.

***(Update) To now be fair to them they have refunded me the full amount quickly and without too much trouble on my behalf.***

2nd update: They have now upped this to £16. However on the response below it states that you are told in the confirmation email.... I've checked all emails from them and I can't find any that state there will be a £16 ongoing charge

Update, I contacted them for a refund and was given £8. Do not use, you will be scammed out of your money.

As other people have stated the billing system is very shady. I signed up and paid around £2 for my CV which I was happy with but then they began charging me £16 out of the blue. I cancelled the subscription but then needed to amend my CV and had to sign in and was charged £16 again and then another £16 has been taken. I've paid around £50 for one CV and one cover letter.

The website is easy to use and gives good suggestions on how to improve your CV, which assisted with me getting the job I applied for.

Beware! I paid £2.95 for a CV and they had continued to take £16.95 for a subscription I wasn’t even aware I had signed up for. It’s all very disingenuous. I only realised 4 months later (and 4 payments later) that they were taking money out for the subscription.

This is honestly the worst experience I ever had with a site. Tried to edit my file and just error messages coming up and nothing is saved. Had to try multiple times, eventually I gave up and the customer service refuses to refund half of my money. Haven’t heard back from them in over a week and no one replies to the emails. Don’t recommend at all, not worth the hassle.

The process for unsubscription is not good. It should be more simple. why anybody will call you and take headache before getting unsubscribed

Taking money without my permission, the app very easy to use but the problems they come after and each problem costs more than 16 pounds, be very careful, costumer service just ignores your calls with the excuse of bad connection. It was supposed to be a trial, not a subscription, I paid for the trial 2.95 pounds, after a few days I have almost 17 pounds being taken from my account.
