"A lot of work for a small job!"

Used Valspar’s Premium Kitchen & Bathroom paint to redecorate our small shower room. I needed to sand the already painted walls, apply a primer (as paint did not want to stick to the wall and wiped off with an damp cloth after 2 days) and then use 3 coats to get anywhere near decent coverage. Fortunately I only had about 3 square metres to paint and to be fair the paint did go on ok if you really loaded up the brush. Colour’s nice too!!
Wouldn’t use again though, stick with Dulux.

"Avoid this paint at all costs"

Avoid this paint at all costs. Left horrendous bubbles over the whole wall. Had to sand down and start again. Tried to get a refund for the £60 wasted but over and over again Valspar blamed us and everything other than themselves. Told them I didnt want a voucher as would never use again but that was the only thing on offer. Paint was also patchy and thin. Needed 5 coats and could still see original colour. Other wall treated the same and painted with Dulux no problems. Shame as it was such a lovely colour. Worst customer services ever.

Thought I was buying a premium paint but have to say it is the worst paint I have ever used. Fourth coat and still patchy as hell and shows no sign of covering any better. Off to get some Dulux, avoid at all costs.

Chose this paint as B&Q were able to colour match. I wanted something that was hard wearing as we have children.
I was recommended the Valspar premium paint for both the walls and wood and metal.
The paint went on ok and is a lovely colour. However you only have to look at it and it chips, tested with my nail and the colour comes off easily.
This was sold as a premium paint and wasn’t the cheapest.
Very disappointing.

Jai acheté un litre Valspar pro extérieur bois et acier 50€ le litre !!!!..qui est censé recouvrir 10 m2 ,après 2 couches de peinture pour couvrir 3m2 de bois donc 6 m2 le bois est encore visible et j’ai plus de peinture !! C’est scandaleux aux prix de la peinture !!!elle est très liquide qui donne l’impression d’une peinture premier prix vraiment à éviter….

"Worst paint I’ve ever used"

Worst paint I’ve ever used. Bought a dark coloured paint to paint over white and after 3 coats it’s still patchy and streaky with the white coming through. Highly recommend dulux or dulux heritage instead. So disappointed and for the price I definitely feel ripped off.

"Great paint and great value"

I bought this paint from B&Q in Wrexham. The staff member Olly I think their name was, was helpful and explained each base paint and its benefits. I went for the premium and had it colour matched to a very expensive paint I have bought in the past and it’s been very thin. This Valspar premium is superb! Great coverage and as this has a built in base coat it’s very good at covering, the paint was well matched as well mixed. Very happy with the Valspar Premium great value for money in comparison to the high priced paint I have bought in the past. Will buy again when needed.

"Nightmare"

Nightmare! We have fresh plastered walls and then applied a mist coat (aka diluted emulsion following instructions) as always to encourage adhesion. First coat of valspar went on fine, we needed a second coat. After painting we have noticed the sections blistering, bubbling and peeling off. We are now going to have to try and re paint the walls again very time consuming. This is the second time we have used the paint. In the other room we noticed blistering and peeling however we thought it was something we had done. We had a decorator this time - its clearly the poor quality of the paint. We have spent hundreds of pounds.

Can't believe already bought 2 tins and still patchy. We ended buying another 1 which just cost 50% of it and after painting it looks better
