"Used the paint for our new bathroom"

Used the paint for our new bathroom. Picked dark green, which looks amazing except the fact we are now NOT ABLE to use the bathroom. Every time we shower or use the bath or there is a small splash and try to wipe it it leaves marks! Did 3 coats and still the same. So disappointing :(. Wish we used Dulux but at £42 for 2.5 litres I was hoping for great product. Instead we are now having to look at alternative and paint AGAING!

Used this paint for years and no problem painted 2 bedrooms hall and living room recently and whatever they have done to the paint is awful. Bubbling and peeling off the wall going to have to completely take it off the wall and repaint as sanding and patching up doesn't work just bubbles again.

"Absolutely disgusting and a con "

I have been buying valspar for years and loved it, ive lost count the amount we have spent and the quality was always amazing.
But this time was disgusting. We bought a tester pot of wonderful white and proceeded to get 5l because we loved it. When we put it on the walls it was disgusting and not the same as the tester, it was a sickly yellow that was floppy and oily consistency. We bought a new tin under a different shade since valspar promise they will refund you the money if you don't like the paint when u provide proof. We did all this and then were told that is the shade so no we won't refund you but as a "goodwill" you can have a voucher for a other 5l tin. But we had already bought a new tin which we told them! Customer service was shocking and the first paint we got was disgusting.
B n q were lovely and told us to contact valspar for a refund, which we did and got no where. We won't be using them again !!

"Very disappointing finish"

Very disappointing finish, even after 2 coats, it looks fine when looking straight at the finished job, but once the light catches the paint from a different angle it looks dredful and so patchy, not a finish can live with.
I avoided the cheaper options and paid the extra on valspar from B&Q, should have kept with Dulex.

"DO NOT USE THIS PAINT"

DO NOT USE THIS PAINT. The paint is of absolutely awful quality. I just wish I read the reviews beforehand. You know it's bad when "diyers" and professionals are of the same opinion on this paint. Worst I've ever used. And don't waste your time contacting them as all they will do is fob you off telling you it couldn't possibly be there paint and it's something you must have done. Literally any other paint will be better. Don't waste your money.

"Avoid this paint"

Avoid this paint. I bought the scrubbable grade from B&Q for my utility room because we liked the colour and the guy assured us of its durability. It actually useless, even the slightest water splash marks the paint. After 2 days of drying I refitted the light switches and accidentally lightly scratched it with my finger nail and needed to touch it up. It’s awful to apply and you can’t touch it without marking it, never mind being waterproof and scrubbable. I will need to redecorate within weeks. Back to Dulux for me, wish I had never gone near the stuff, and it wasn’t exactly cheap either.

"Been painting properties for many…"

Been painting properties for many years. Decided to try this Valspar water based premium wood and metal. not cheap at £42 for 2.5L . I wish I had never bothered. Customer service have fobbed me off with some instructions of what "not to do" despite the tin instructions being a bit vague. Doors and skirtings peeling off, the slightest of knock ends with a snow storm. Terrible paint, terrible customer service. DO NOT BUY it will waste your time as you will need to redo.

To start with i would not have given this paint any stars, it was the worst paint I have ever used in 40 years. The first coat dried so patchy it was like oil sprayed on water. The second was a little better but still very patchy. Eventually after 4 coats it was ok. For the price I would not recommend it to anyone.

"Randomly blistering on areas of misted…"

Randomly blistering on areas of misted plaster and existing paint... Very frustrating but no doubt my fault for not using a valspar undercoat. Will stick with F&B next time.

"Non existent customer service "

We decided to use Valspar Express Coat on newly plastered walls followed by Valspar Premium paint for the top coat. The Premium paint has still not covered properly after 3 coats - after emailing the customer service team and providing all necessary information and photos, they have stated that we should have applied coats within 4 hours max (not mandatory on the tin), watered down the primer paint (again, not mentioned on the tin) and we should ‘remove the product from the wall’, apply a new mist coat and 2 costs of a new top paint! In other words, start again and spend another £70 or so on paint.
Recent emails are being ignored and customer service/ help is non existent. An apology of sorts would have been appreciated but effectively the issues with the paint lie with us and are nothing to do with them! I would avoid at all costs in future.
