"Such a shame. "
Am unfortunately in the same position as many others.
First time using Valspar as in store they could colour match as the brand I wanted wasn't in stock.
Prepped the very small room and started painting only to find that the coverage very poor and everywhere is patchy. Its so bad that I am going to be chasing coat after coat in an attempt to get it even close to be even everywhere. Which will affect the second point which is the colour I wanted.
Wanted a durable wipable finish. Have discovered that the pigment will transfer if you do attempt to wipe a dry wall.
Maybe lighter colours are where these products are better as anything with some depth appears to hold up to the intended use.
Edit: There is a response to reach out to them, but there has been no indication how to do so - so please take the response from Valspar as a generic one.
Will update if this progresses

"Purchased this paint in August"
Purchased this paint in August, upgraded to the premium, I absolutely love the colour but the quality is awful. The paint has chipped everywhere… You only have to catch it with your nail and it peels away. So disappointed.

"Lack of covering capacity"
I have been decorating for over 50 years and have always used Dulux. Unfortunately B&Q have now switched to Valspar. Twice I have bought a very light colour premium wood and metal paint and used a white undercoat. The first time I gave up and found a Dulux supplier but this time I persevered and continued wih Valspar. Again white undercoat abd new brush each tine and had to apply three coats. Never again will I use Valspar as it is not worth the effort, frustration and disappointment.

"Bought the premium egg shell for wood…"
Bought the premium egg shell for wood and metal , you only have to look at it and it scratches off . This was for some shelving and a wardrobe. I should remind myself never to buy this paint ever again. Do not buy .

"V&Co Matt finish- fantastic!! "
We went for V&Co Matt teal for our feature wall, after the stockist didn’t stock Dulux Heritage which I really wanted, the colour was almost the same so we went for a 2.5l tin, it is absolutely fantastic and I’m so glad we’ve gone for Valspar! The coverage is excellent, two coats and it looks amazing. The usual paint smell isn’t there either it’s very natural, super happy! Will choose again.

"This paint is an absoute joke"
This paint is an absoute joke! I asked for paint advice and the assistant recommended Valspar. I wish i went wirh my gut ans got the paint i wanted as I knew id get thw resilt I wanted but instead I went with the staff recommendation. I paid a premium for this paint as i was painting my kitchen units and I wanted a good finish. I have done 4 coats already and its still patchy and not the colour on the card that I chose!!!

"Paint blistering"
I've painted several rooms before, including bathrooms and kitchens, straight onto plaster or repaired old paint. Never used valspar before but loved the range of colours and let our daughter select a colour for her room and went for a silk finish to give it a feel of luxury.
Sadly its been soul destroying. We sanded and filled the walls then cleaned the walls with sugar soap, washed them off again, dried them out. Any DIYer who works knows how long this all takes whilst juggling children and work. I primed one problem wall with anti peel but left the other 3, then applied a mist coat (aka diluted emulsion following instructions) as always to encourage adhesion. First coat of valspar went on fine, second coat onwards has been agony. 5 or so minutes after painting sections started to blister and bubble, we felt sick, all that hard work and time to prep the walls and paint has ruined it. We tried the dehumidifier and heater thinking it might be temperature or moisture as suggested on some DIY forums, left it a week to fully dry. Third coat has been the worse, and needed a 4th coat in places. Every wall has now blistered and does not dry any better, its like the paint is reacting with itself. I even went into B&Q at the weekend to ask and they confirmed we'd done everything we should have but we brought a fresh tin to be sure, but just the same. We've now made the heart breaking decision to strip it all off and start again. All that time and effort, just want to cry!
