"Poor quality locks"
I purchased a solidor via West Yorkshire Windows in Nov 2021. They have been out and replaced the lock already when it simply fell apart and twice to adjust it the door fitting. Today the lock has done exactly the same and disintegrated the door cost over £2000 and I now have to pay for a new lock and fitting at 106.00 I would expect two locks in under 3 years is questionable to its quality.

"APPALLING COMPANY"
Absolutely terrible company purchased from TRADELINK, but the products are SOLIDOR. Bought a door and side panels, Reported straight away the glass had lots of scratches and a few days later the door had a mark on, That was July. After contacting TRADELINK once a week, after speaking with SOLIDOR they agreed to replace the glass came marked again so finally got some at Xmas. We had to pay for fitter 2nd time. The door they have suggested after speaking again with solidor I have cleaned with something???? Why would I have cleaned a brand new door let alone a round approx 3” circle?? No one has even been to see the door so how do they know what it is but they are refusing to do anything. £2000 we spent appalling customer service. They sold / sent seconds but charged us full price!!

"Excellent fitting of replacement slab"
Original door fitted over 9 years ago by a company no longer in business became defective and not covered by original insurance. Solidor agreed to replace the slab under the manufacturer's 10 year warranty. Fitter took time and great care with the replacement slab, including refitting the original glass, handles and letterbox. Very impressed with Solidor's customer service and delighted with my 'new' door. Special thanks to Grace, Steve and the brilliant fitter Kev.

if something is wrong and its put right quickly and efficiently without wrangling, its often an unusual experience in this day and age. however, the speedy resolution of a warranty issue with a Solidor door, was superb from start to finish. Steve ( the technical contact ) and Paul (the fitter) collectively nailed it! well done Solidor....impressive customer service !

In the recent high winds my front door caught a flower pot the impact scratched the paint on the door. I emailed solidor customer service enquiring about touch up paint.
Grace dealt with my query, quickly and professionally. I received my free touch up paint today. Great customer service.

"Ongoing issues related to Solidor purchased April 2021"
Experience related to Solidor purchased April 2021. Problem with threshold cill filling with water November 2021. Thought it was resolved then December 2022 inside of door iced over. Noticed constant draught from door after fitting new windows. Discover butt hinges fitted to door instead of adjustable flang. To top it all guarantee belongs to fitter not the person living with the door. Second opinion said slab(door) too small for frame. Door looks very smart but not fit for purpose as constant draught. Very difficult to get a response. Seems Solidor have little or no quality control sadly product does not match claims on their website.

Response asked for photos of the necessary seal.
Unexpectedly received a parcel the very next day containing a plentifully quantity of the seal without charge! Thank you so much Solidor........

"Dissappointing quality and drafty"
We learnt fairly quickly that Solidor don't make their own doors, they have a range of fabricators do it for them. So it seems a bit potluck as to the quality you get and they try to blame the fabricators for issues instead of owning them and managing the issue for you. Either that, or they fob you off with the installer you chose from their own site.
The end product is just, OK. Not amazing and not the premium product I thought I was buying. In reality, the door is bowed inwards top and bottom (within a tolerance apparently!) so the seals don't touch the door and it's REALLY drafty and cold. Not very solid.
I definitely wouldn't recommend them as there are just too many people in the process to blame for mistakes and you get passed around trying to fix them.

"Excellent quality and a great online DIY design experience"
We had a Solidor front door installed in August 2022 and we’re very pleased with the installation by Essex Double Glazing - our previous double glazed door caused a cold spot so we decided to replaced the door from the Solidor Italia range. No pun intended but the door feels very solid and the cold spot has been eliminated (very noticeable during the cold below freezing spells we’ve had, which is why I’ve delayed my review). We particularly like the ‘slam shut’ system with a large grab handle. There’s a 2m space between our property and our neighbour which often blows a cold hooley so we’ve now decided to replace our existing double glazed side kitchen door with a Solidor barn door to match the green front door, and of course Essex Doubling Glazing got the order and will be doing the installation.
