"Terrific front door and great customer service"

I was provided with a Solidor front door by a retail supplier which was well fitted and is a lovely door and sets off the newly extended front of our home beautifully. One small issue- an end cap for the rain bar was missing. Tried numerous times via the supplier to get the tiny missing part to no avail. Contacted Solidor direct and got a prompt response from Grace who promised to send me the missing item. It arrived well packaged and within a few days, right colour, right piece and great customer service - should have gone to Solidor in the first place! Finishing touch to my lovely Edinburgh 2 front door in Painswick with London etched glass!

"Fantastic Customer Service"

We had a Solidor fitted 4 years ago and have had no issues with it whatsoever. Recently a small end cap went missing from the trim at the bottom of the door. I contacted them and within 2 weeks a replacement part had arrived with no charge.

"Absolutely rubbish door"

Absolutely rubbish door. Money wasted. After review here I’ve been contacted by Solidoor and engineer has been sent. Nothing has been done since and company is not responding now. £1650 door stay as cracked as there were. Worst investment ever not to mention customer service. I’ve got all proof in the email.

"Got a solidor installed four months…"

Got a solidor installed four months ago, does not do a good a job of keeping the draught out as my previous 20-year-old UVPC door, door lock is horrendous, and had to get the installer to come to fix it twice now, it almost locked me out of my house due to a failing lock. it looks nice, but the interior of the door is made of cheap foam and feels cheap also.

the bottom of the door, the little strip, its starting to come off, only had the door four months.

Overall, i would strongly advise you to keep away from this company, the doors look nice on the internet, but after you get it installed, it looks cheap, and the build quality looks rushed and cheap.

I wished i never bought it and just kept my previous 20 year old UVPC door, especially when it kept my house warmer.

Customer service from the company is terrible also, they just dont want to listen to you, and keep telling you to refer to the installer, like its not their problem.

I had a problem with the hinges on a Solidor stable door. I contacted Grace at the company. Withing a couple of days she had arranged to have new hinges delivered to me. Customer service at its best.

"Excellent Service"

I’ve had my Solidor door for over 7 years and it developed a fault with the lock. I contacted Solidor direct as my installer was no longer in business. I spoke with Steven and he was extremely knowledgeable, kind, helpful and arranged for their engineer to visit in only a couple of days.

Paul helpfully contacted me before arrival and replaced my lock in no time at all. He also helped me with my letterbox which wasn’t on the original job.

I am delighted by the service Solidor have provided me and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

"Spare wear & tear"

I had a couple of minor issues with what was essentially wear and tear. I contacted Solidor and Grace sorted me replacements, all I needed to do was send pics and new parts arrived a few days later.

"Our front door fitted on the…"

Our front door fitted on the 18/11/2016.
The company that fitted your Solidor door has gone into administration so we are unable to contact them.
I phoned your company this Friday 25th November 2022 to be advised that your 10 year warranty is not transferable to the homeowner, this information had not been advised to us until my call today.

The composite door is coming apart, front to back so is getting difficult to close.
We are both retired pensioners & with the economic climate are having to watch every penny.
Can you imagine how we feel now knowing that we had a 10 year guarantee on your product that Is only 8 years old & definitely faulty to be told that there is nothing that your company will do.

Please advise what further information you require.
If Indeed additional information will make you company change their stance with any help with our situation.

Steve from Solidor telephone, & following the information/ photos I supplied, they had found the original order & would arrange the manufacture a new door to the same spec.
I am now pleased to advise the new door was fitted by John this morning 16th December 2022 he & Steve were extremely helpful & we are very happy with the new door, it fits better than the original.

"Appalling Customer Service"

We have been waiting for a replacement door unit from Solidor for over 3 months now. The retailer we purchased the door from and who hold the warranty claim is having no joy actually getting the replacement glass. Solidor are not responding nor honouring their delivery promises. Consequently as the homeowner and end user we are left with a damaged door and no way of contacting Solidor. Our next step is legal action. Very poor, avoid a company who don’t have a contact phone number.

"Brilliant service again."

Brilliant service again.
My original contact on 26th October with Steve, regarding a sticking stable-door, was followed up by John on 10th November.
John was so pleasant (really different to the man - I won’t call him a gentleman - sent by the installer of the door to rectify the problems) and a pleasure to have in the house. He not only sorted the sticking problem, but also put the lock between the two halves of the door, on the correct way - it had been put on upside down originally! He adjusted the hinges and checked how level it was with a spirit level, and took photos, for his report. All very thorough.
I only have the highest praise for this company. The way it has dealt with rectifying (what is not actually their fault) the problem, and the employees that I have encountered along the way, have all been excellent.
If I could give them more stars I would.
A big thank you, in particular, to Steve and John. You have both done the company proud.
