"Recently the handles on our Solidor…"
Recently the handles on our Solidor front door failed and the installer had stopped trading. I contacted customer services and after only a couple of Emails they were replaced straight from Solidor, I have to thank Grace Mullock for her excellent help in resolving this matter.

THIS COMPANY IS AWFUL - DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY WITH THEM - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL ANYMORE, FROM THE VERY LITTLE THEY HAD PREVIOUSLY
We purchased 3 doors in total from Solidor, in good faith, as they looked and sounded a good, professional, high-end company that give 10 year Warranties on their doors.
We had also spoken to them direct to see if they could bespoke our side doors, so they matched the front door and they were very helpful, accommodating and reassuring, prior to purchase and spending a lot of money with them.
The doors were all ordered and came exactly as discussed and fitted very well by Steve at Gloucester Conservatory & Windows. Highly recommend Steve and his team.
The main front door that is used daily, had to be replaced after approx 5-6yrs, because it started getting several cracks on the outer skin, it took a while to receive any replies the first time, but Grace did eventually reply to Steve, as we had to go via him and they replaced the door, but fitment was at the cost of the agent, because Solidor don't deal direct with the public. NOW WE KNOW WHY!!
Fast forward 2 years and the same has occured to our main front door again and because of it happening again, we looked at our other 2 doors, that are hardly ever used, as they are stepped back and to the side of our front door/property, they are only used a few times a year for access and guess what, they also have cracks now.
So our conclusion is, the original product wasn't fit for purpose, because of the defect after a few years, but the newer product is EVEN WORSE and one presumes of even lesser quality because it has re-occured even quicker and also no fit for purpose and should be dealt with under their 10 year warranties?!
Ourselves and Steve, the company we had to purchase via, because Solidor don't deal direct with the customer, have been trying to contact Solidor via email since May 2022, using Grace's email, who I see still works for the company from other reviews and their customer service email address, both copied in every time, by ourselves or Steve the agent, so there is no excuse what so ever for not receiving replies. We have both sent lots and lots of emails requesting a response, but neither of us have received a thing. I have the email trail as proof.
Awful, ignorant customer service. This company should be totally ashamed of itself.
For the record, we give this company ZERO STARS, but that isn't an option!

Maybe you could leave your email address in a reply to the review, as you seem to reply to all the Trustpilot reviews and you could respond to us and get this rectified??

"Disappointingly poor product"
Had 2 doors installed by Vision PVC in Thirsk, very poor installation standard. Initially 1 door allowed water through the glazing unit, they returned to rectify, their solution was to apply silicone sealant around the glass, which looked terrible and shouldn’t be necessary on a supposedly premium product. The handle on one door is loose compared to the other door, the coloured finish to both doors is poor with bits of white showing through and overspray on bits that should be white.
There are large gaps between the glazing unit and beading inside, this has again been poorly rectified by Vision PVC using silicone sealant.
Highlighting these issues to the installation company was met with the response of ‘I don’t know what you want us to do about it, that’s just how they are’.
At the end of November I sent you a detailed email including pictures of the poor finish of your product, you’ve not even had the decency to reply to it.
I thought the premium price meant a premium product, I was very wrong.

The company have still not sent the colour swatch & although understand there are royal mail strikes, they have not responded to my recent email requesting the colour swatch again.
I really liked the door I chose but had they had sent the colour swatch, we would be ready to install the door. Shame.

"Fantastic door and great after care service"
We had our Ludlow front door in Painswick green fitted 18 months ago, solid and looks fantastic.
Unfortunately the wreath we tied to the door knocker at Xmas scratched the trim around the glass pane. I contacted Solidor direct and they immediately offered to send me touch up paint to repair the small scratch. Excellent helpful service!
