"EXPERIENCED PURCHASER OF SOLIDOR"

My company (South Staffs Windows) have been purchasing Solidor doors for over 5 years. Supplying and installing them for our customers.
As you will see from our reviews, we are experts at installing them correctly, and never had a warped one.

So please consider my experience, based on purchasing large volumes of this product, and not just simply the opinion of someone who has had a great product fitted badly. Like most of the bad reviews are

We have purchased thousands of doors (manufactured entirely at Solidor) and have never had a complaint regarding "warping", where we have assessed and found evidence of any warping and misshaping at all. In fact, every instance we have ever attended had been an installation error, not a warped product. The manufacturing technique Solidor use is market leading and designed specifically to eliminate warping.

Please do not be fooled, by "experts" who are usually attempting to sell a cheaper alternative product whilst giving you this information. It is entirely disingenuous to advise anyone these doors warp with little to no experience in installing this product or being part of the supply chain.

Quite often in other peoples reviews, I would expect that the outer frame is not installed correctly, (not square or level) which to the untrained eye, appears to be warped. It is in fact the most common installation error found in doors.

Speaking from experience, we have found the customer service from Solidor to have been fantastic over the years.

"The best decision I ever made."

We are a small company and we used to buy foam filled composite doors but were pointed in the direction of Solidor doors by our previous suppliers who stopped manufacture due to the quality of some of the foam filled doors, and we haven't looked back.
We now sell double the amount of doors than we used to when selling a cheaper alternative, and it's all due to the obvious quality of the Solidor door and the level of the support given to us by the team at Solidor.
It's clear to see the difference in all aspects of the doors. The range of colours (available inside and out unlike standard foam filled doors) is extensive, as is the range of furniture. The products are constantly being updated to keep in line with customers' requirements, and the staff are knowledgeable and always helpful.
Changing to Solidor was the best move we ever made and we have many many happy customers to back up this decision. We would never fit another brand of door and would highly recommend them to anyone considering improving their property.
You get what you pay for, and with Solidor you get quality right the way through.
This really is a fabulous door, and regardless of location, I would be happy to independently answer any questions anyone might have on the doors if it would help the process for them.

"Why go anywhere else?"

Solidor have been supplying my doors for a number of years now and comparing the service and product to others I've used in the past, there's just no comparison. The doors are built like battleships, the insulation figures are better then anyone elses, the staff care about the roles they're employed to do which means my job is easier, the customers are happy and the doors are bringing in work without any need for me to advertise. Any member of the public looking for a new door should insist on a Solidor, anything else just doesn't cut it.

I wrote to Solidor direct on 18th April 2018 via the email address listed on this site stating my problem and attaching photos regarding a problem I have with the glass in a door and the problems encountered with the Company who supplied and fitted, todate I have had no acknowledment. My problem has been ongoing with the Supplier who supplioed and fitted the door for 14 months. DFP

"Poor quality, warped Solidor front door and frame"

Solidor front door installed in November 2016. Within 6 months, the door and frame warped in opposite directions.
April 2018 and still waiting for a replacement frame and door.
When attempting to make contact via the 0808 number, this simply rings until you loose the will and hang up.

Quality of the door/frame is far below that expected of an expensive purchase.

I would certainly not recommend this manufacturer!

Fabulous door and fabulous service from start to finish. Its been a great experience getting my door made by Solidor and fitted by the lovely local firm Prescot Doors. Quality is exceptional and the team were fab! Coming back again later in the year for my rear door A++++

"Brilliant but be careful.."

I am in the trade and can honestly say Solidor is an excellent, and a very sturdy product. Please be careful when purchasing though. I have a good reputation and was contacted by a family who had been having problems with their door and were unable to get any help from their installer. On arrival after a short inspection it was obvious this door was actually a different brand and the family didn't know. They still had their Solidor brochure with the door chosen circled. Buy from recommended installers and from someone with genuine experience and knowledge. It's a brilliant product and a credit to a home. Choose your installer wisely.

The doors are of excellent quality and we have all been very pleased with them. Solidor Solid core doors are by far the best in my opinion
