"Basically the 1/2 day cost us almost…"

Basically the 1/2 day cost us almost 45£ per kid. (First cost of 7.99£ at the super market then 3 times around 10£ of ammunition per game - you can go up to 12 games in a day - then 5.99£ the pizza plus water....)
Be aware that this is a very expensive experience.
Meanwhile the commercial speech is not picturing the reality - nobody is receiving you at an individual level and your kids don’t have time to decide how to constitute their teams and they will be playing with other birthday parties of same age kids... being aware permits to avoid disappointment and frustration. We had to discover the reality on spot.
Hope the review will help understanding the experience

"Appalling company"

Appalling company, mislead into buying these tickets and costs involved. Works out worse off than going direct to paintball centres.
Do not use these people!

Story much the same as posts I've now seen about them.

"Be careful of smooth talking marketers epecially if you don't know about paintballing"

Just read a lot of the bad reviews and mine is very similar. I was missold the tickets, ended up paying £139. 98 for paintballing tickets, 30 tickets in number. We planned to use some for my son's proposed birthday event with 7 of his school friends. The seller, a lady, even tossed in 1000 free balls. I was told that we didn't need to pay any other money, but just to inform them I had free balls. I was never told these balls would only be used at the end. I was deceived into ticking boxes without reading the T&C. Son was excited and I was £140 out of pocket! I never knew anything about paintballing so I went along with the seller. My mistake!! I trusted her on that blustery spring Saturday morning on Sutton High street.

The problem started when I rang IPG to book the events only to realise that I needed to pay £9.99 each for each of my son's invited guest. And that they would need more balls after the first 100 balls.
Of course, the costs just went to the roof, so I had to call off the event. I had already texted parents and all.

Long and short story, I asked for a refund but I was too late for thier 14 days refund policy.

I have learnt my lesson. I'd rather waste £140 than spend more money on paintballing in IPG. Shame, shame, shame!!!

"Terrible customer service"

Terrible customer service. Would not recommend.

EDIT: I decided to email them as requested below to give them another chance and I received no reply almost 2 weeks later now. They unfortunately have only furthered my point above. Customer service is basically non existent or they don't care about their customers when you finally do talk to someone.

"great day with my two children"

We bought a pack of 10 visit tickets from a guy at a supermarket one afternoon. He was a really nice person and explained it first time as we went in but said he preferred to tell people to think about it during shopping so no hard sell. On our way out I was keen to take another look and we bought a pack which got us the basic entry price covered for the day and 100 end of day paintballs but not the main day paintballs. He explained this very clearly to us including minimum ages and locations so I knew the extra we'd need to spend on the day. That doesn't seem to be the experience of everyone on this site but he was very clear and helpful is all I can say & gave us some good tips inc. taking a pack lunch and that you can always rest out a couple of the games during the day if you wanted to or needed to save paintballs (we didn't as it happens!).

It then took me a few months to get round to booking a trip with my two children; only ever having done paintball once before a long time ago, I was worried that we might need to buy loads of balls on the day but that wasn't the case: it is entirely down to how you play the games!

My 11 year old, 13 year old and I had great fun: a whole day's activity across 7 different game sets with breaks in-between. It was a tenner each for our initial paintballs when we signed up over the phone to the day itself. I told my two that we needed to be careful with them but we only needed to buy another 200 in total during the day and that was fine: we played all the games, had great fun and were just careful not to waste any. I'm sure you could easily get through several hundred more if you wanted to go wild; entirely how you play it but it was a great day and no regrets.

Total bill then was £30 for 3 entry tickets + end of day final-game paintballs, £30 for 3x100 initial paintballs and £20 spent on the day on more balls so £80 for all three of us to have a great day out and we took a packed lunch & snacks. Ok there are cheaper days out there but £27 each for a one-off fun action-packed day in the hols isn't bad either right? Just give your kids some clear guidance on the paintball usage and sit out the odd game if you need to.

If you do end up with paintballs spare then no need to shoot them all off at the end, just hand them back in at base and they'll credit 50/100s etc to your account under your name for your next visit.

My tips for those starting off like us would be:
* take some gloves (any will help, paint comes off, can buy hardened ones there: hits on the hand do sting!)
* take a tea/coffee flask for base drinks (they have a mini tuck & lunch shop as well)
* the body vest protects your main body area so you don't need multiple layers there but something on the arms
* don't worry about paint on clothes/boots too much: full overall suit provided and anyway although it comes out coloured (pink on our day), i then goes white/flakes off quickly and comes off with water.

I was very impressed and will look to bring a youth group I'm involved with back for a session now to use up the other entry tickets I have left.

"I was stopped last year whilst doing a…"

I was stopped last year whilst doing a weekly shop with my teenagers in Tesco. When we got stopped by ipg guys
I did express the fact that I didn't drive and we couldn't afford it. I was being put under enormous pressure and I couldn't say no...
So a year on we still have the £60 tickets which nobody wants even if we wanted to use them we can't because of the distance. I've tried advertising them and I can't even get£10 for them.
I know that I'm not the only person in this situation as I've seen lots of the same story on eBay just think of the money they are receiving and people not using them I would put these guys in the same category as having chocolate at the checkout and it's wrong because they are so pushy siding with the kids.
It's a bad shout

"Most fun I’ve had in years"

Had an amazing time with my family and friends , the Marshall did so much to cater the experience specifically for us, had an absolute blast and would recommend to anyone and everyone
Gave us really good tips and tricks especially during games where you would have to be a lot more strategic, we absolutely loved it

"It seems the reply is also a scam"

It seems the reply is also a scam, the reply to my review asked for me to contact them so the customer service manager could contact me directly which all looks very caring so I e mailed them my number. After two days of not being contacted I rang to be told he was on the phone, I left my number but never got a call back so the following day rang back to be told he was on the phone again, I held and eventually the woman I had originally dealt with, the unhelpful one who lacks any form of customer service, told me that she was the customer service manager. Strange because I had originally been told it was a man. Anyway she was as unhelpful as the last time and can be as patronising as she likes as ultimately it is the company she is so poorly representing that will lose out. The cost of the packs pails into insignificance at the loss in revenue in selling paintballs to 3 x parties of 10, would of been so easily resolved
