"Terrible service. Don't trust what they say."
I booked a Britannia taxi through the app for pickup from home at 09:30hrs to go to a train station.
The taxi did not arrive until just before 10am!!!
This after many phone calls to and from the office and the driver who, lncidently, had not been told about the ride until approximately 09:45hrs!!!!
After us kept waiting and anchious for half an hour, they had the nerve to charge me WAITING TIME!!!
Ever feel you have been ripped off?
I guess a company with this performance will not care about bad reviews as long as they make money.

The taxi driver who picked us up on mesnes Park terrace and drove us home was very polite he helped us with our suitcases this young driver is a credit to the company.

Don't drive for this taxi company they favour drivers for the better jobs was given a Airport job only for it to be taken off me an given to another driver there excuse was the rider changed the time of the booking by 5 minutes

Don’t turn up. Booked 24h in advance, no contact, just didn’t appear. Left me late for a medical appointment.

"Total Letdown"
Booked a taxi for 7pm. When it didn't arrive, I phoned and was told that one would come when available. Phoned twice more with no luck. Had to cancel, including the pre-booked return journey. Had to drive to get to venue on time.
Best to avoid this company.

I'm a pensioneŕ got a britania taxi from barkbeth Rd to planetree rd which is 1.6 mile and was charged £7.20 normally £5.40max these drivers that don't even live in Liverpool are ŕobing ùs it shouldn't be aloud

"A very mixed review"
A very mixed review . I booked Manchester Airport 2 way journey December for flights this week . Contacted Earlestown branch to book this . The journey to the airport fabulous . Driver early for a 5am booking . Very positive experience . Returned yesterday ! What a nightmare ! Just myself ( female and my daughter ! As travellers ) the flight was delayed for 30 mins we had booked 4 pm pick up so I contacted the uk to ask a relative to ring Britainia and say 4.45 pick up . They contacted me to say all sorted at Britanis end . We arrived at Manchester to a text the taxi had been despatched and was on the way then had a call from the driver to say 11 mins . Great .. we waited .. 20 mins later we rang to be told on the way and was sent a text link to track my taxi … looking at that it then said 33 mins away . I called the company to be told oh the app has not updated . Another 20 mins on ( freezing at this point) call from the driver again . Stuck on the motorway another 20 mins ! I couldn’t get my head around how I was called by the driver as I landed to say he was coming into the pick up point and would be 11 mins to now be waiting 1hr !!!
As 2 females it’s not the best to feel stranded at the airport after booking this well in advance and even updating the company on the delay before coming back !
1hr after scheduled pick up we hit our taxi with a sorry the motorway was bad and I’m new - my first airport .
It then got better . As we arrived home I had told the company on booking I’d pay by card returning . I said card ? The driver said no cash only ! Luckily I had cash . The fee was £55 . He then said it’s £55 plus £5 car park !
I said no it’s not ! That’s what I was told so he then rang the company and I sat listening as he said this lady is saying it’s £55 and that’s all included but should she pay the car park fee on top !! They obviously told him no !
Not great to be treated as a paying customer like rubbish ( waiting an hour , being lied to regarding times to wait to be collected 11 mins to constant 20 , then another 20 . ) and to finally be insulted by the hour late driver that you are trying to rip them off with the agreed bill and have to sit at home in the car until he calls the company to validate your honesty !
Honestly the worst taxi experience home from an airport I’ve encountered in my 55 years in this planet !

Absolute terrible he was rude to us as children were in the car we asked him to go a short way and he ignored us and then we asked him to turn right again and he said “well I can’t stop in the middle of the road can I” and it’s such a disgrace and he should not treat children in that manor it’s terrible never again it was a grey Hyundai and he was so mean we are only 12 the both of us and we felt really upset about how he spoke to us

An absolute disgrace of a company. After pressing a button outside an office in Ashton. With which nothing happened..A taxi turn up from Britannia to offer me a lift. Followed by a conversation to say that I have to get out and press the button again… nothing happened. After getting back in the cab snd having a discussion with the office, via the driver.. we both were asked to get out and press the button… nothing happened while the driver ids still on the phone to his office. When we both got back in the driver same how much I normally pay!!!!! I said whatever you charge for the journey??? After a long delay we set off. When the mobile phone meter went past £10, he said this is more the man he thought?????
On arrival the meter reading was £15 and I gave him a twenty pound note… a nice tip… after leaving the cab,,, I was shouted back by the Hugo be accused of giving him a dodgy note….
What an absolute shambles of a company…. You’d better walking home in a tornado!!!

"Awful 1st experience of Brittainnia taxi"
We have used bluestar taxis for 32 years and have been moderately satisfied with the service. Last night however with bluesman being bought out by britannia was theeee worst experience ever. We're left high n dry getting to upholding from orrell and again on the return journey. 2 taxis were requested for both legs and there was a no show on both counts. Thank goodness for pemb taxis! We tried several times to ring britannia only to get am automated service saying our taxi would be 3 mins, which was a myth, you need to ditch that part of your service cos it said the taxi coming for us at upholding would arrive at the orrell pick up in 3 minutes!!I could only speak to an actual person way after we were dropped off by pemb taxis, only to be told I could not have my complaint passed on to management just do a Google review. So here it is, the awful service and lack of personal communication means we will not be using britannia again.
