4 mains requirements for a taxi driver.
1, licence
2, communication
3, area knowledge (or at least No 4)
4, sat nav !
Our last two taxis, 27/8/22
Only number 1 was had
Couldn't understand us.
Didn't know erea.
Didn't have a sat nav!
Had to use my phone sat nav, holding it in the dash, to show driver because the communication part want there either .
Very poor.

Had to click one star to put a comment. This company doesn’t deserve a one star. Was informed by the woman who took the call that our taxi was booked. I realised after the call we hadn’t received a text to say taxi booked. Taxi didn’t arrive at the time we requested. I rang them back. They said we don’t have any drivers in your area. He said we state clearly to every customer that we can’t guarantee to be there at the exact time. I informed them that i wasn’t given this information, if I had we wouldn’t of booked a taxi with them. He then started shouting at me down the phone. We ended up booking with another company after we explained what had happened there were there very quickly. I would not recommend this taxi company to anyone

"Terrible taxi service"

Terrible taxi service - avoid at all costs!
Booked a taxi to Stansted airport (1.5hr journey). Taxi was a full hour late picking up and we only made our flight thanks to some very reasonable airport staff. The operator at Britannia Cars also lied about the reason for the lateness as their story didn’t match at all with what our driver said (who for the record was very nice and entirely not at fault).
I complained about the service and all they would offer was a £10 refund on a ~£130 booking. Ridiculous when the whole point of booking an airport taxi is to get there on time - would have been better off booking a horse and cart…
Don’t book with these shysters - they shouldn’t be in business.

"Service was shocking"

Service was shocking. Ordered a taxi for 12.30 that they committed to. After an hour of waiting, rang twice to say they can only turn up when the driver wants to. Not good enough when you have booked in advance. An hour an hour later, still standing in the rain with the company saying they never committed to a time and they come 'when the driver wants to' avoid!!!! Not reliable! Don't commit to something you can't provide... simple customer service!!!

"I agree with everyone who said they…"

I agree with everyone who said they would give minus stars, that's what they deserve. I tried calling for a cab last Friday from 10pm, we were 24th in queue, finally got through, woman said really busy call back in an hour...called back at 10.30 as we were getting scared - pub very busy and lots of drunks around in St Helens, as my sister is disabled she was becoming panicked. Guy said yes no problem car on it's way. 11.10 still no car, called back and the woman said there was no booking in my name. I said we are two vulnerable women on our own and very scared she said 'nothing I can do, call back in an hour'. I did, still no cars and when I said I would be contacting Trustpilot, she put the phone down on me. In the end, I had to walk 2 1/2 miles by myself as my sister cannot walk very far, to get my car along a dual carriageway in the dark - I've never been so scared. Whatever you do, DO NOT call Britannia cars they are rude, arrogant and don't give a damn and deserve all the bad revues they've got.

"Useless"

Booked to picked up today at 12:30pm for a health appointment after a recent operation. Didn't turn up. Do not use this company as they will let you down. Poor.

"AVOID"

AVOID. We booked at 2.30am to get to Gatwick airport. The car didn't turn up. Staff on the phone were very unhelpful and advised to wait so they could find another car while the minutes ticked by. There was no other car. We were incredibly lucky to find an Uber at that time and just made the flight. Unreal. Never ever even looking at this firm again.

"Taxi didn't arrive"

Taxi didn't arrive. Chased company and was told car would be despatched. Phoned back ten minutes later and car hadn't been despatched and no estimate on its arrival could be made due to traffic (at 7am). Told that reservations didn't really mean a car would arrive at the scheduled time. Had to scramble to catch my train. Blacklisting Britannia.

"No show"

Got a text to say the taxi had arrived, came outside within 5 minutes of getting the text but no taxi there. Contacted the controller but was told taxis all fully booked. Poor service
