However when our buyers dropped out just before we were due to complete we had no hesitation in contacting Dorothy again. Things progressed rapidly and we were kept up to date all the way through. Thanks to HBB repairing our chain we are now in our new home.

Information was great. Think we always knew that the offers would be way too low for us but it satisfied our curiosity. Only had two companies to speak too, didn't take up much time and was worth reading all about it. Would definitely recommend you reading all of the two emails that you receive as very interesting and informative.

"Brochure Not Transparent"

I felt manipulated regarding paying for their stamp duty. I was pressured into exchanging contracts before 1st April or they would drop their offer a further 5% more, after an already aggressive take down by Dorothy which had already included their stamp duty, she had told me previously. Therefore they expected me to pay twice, until I did my own research and questioned it. They admitted the 1st April stamp duty did not apply to them. Their final offer on 11/04/2025 was less than I bought the property for nearly 16 years ago and I had done extensive upgrading since. They also don't pay for fixtures and fittings. Definitely not a friendly stress free experience for me!

80-85% is paid of the market value - Dorothy told me it was their market valuation or what the company could afford then 80-85% reduction.
Complete the sale in as little as 7 days - only if all the masses of paper work are completed, You may require your deeds to do this.

Suzanne indicated to me at an early stage that our house, due to its type and situation, may be difficult to value and that they may not be able to make me a cash offer with which I would be satisfied. This turned out to be the case. Nevertheless, the process was entirely transparent and above board and I was satisfied that HBB are honest and trustworthy.
