"I haven't had much luck.."

I haven't had much luck... I've lost out on over $300 iit saying approved then to find out later they have bounced back and not gone through ! So I'm out that money. I've had more issues of no connection and doesn't like credit union cards either . Its very hit and miss operation.

"A nice option for small businesses"

It's kind of a nuisance having to connect it, sometimes the device you input your price on can't find the 'terminal'. It's a nice option for small businesses.

"Amazing Customer Service"

Whenever I have a problem (which is almost NEVER), they are available to help. They are extremely patient, understanding, and kind. I wouldn't deal with anyone else!!

"As a starter device they were a good …but for long term or busy, not recommended."

As a starter device they were a good choice since there was no contract required. But it took 3 devices before getting one that worked semi decently. But for long term or for many transactions, i found their device's battery does not last and runs out just sitting there, requiring charging every two-three days, the POS is complicated with many extra steps of which I have mentioned to them regarding how undesireable the extra steps were for about a year, yet no changes have been made. Again, good for few orders, but if you are a busy store or busy market vendor, far too time consuming to even enter the orders and then the interface is complicated for the customer as well.
Plus too many down Times and no acknowledgement to the businesses, as well most of the time customer service has no idea about issues when called regarding outages. The device is done in such a way that you are never certain if it is an outage or if it is your own device. I gave the company a year to fix many of these issues, gave them the benefit of the doubt being a newer company, but the most recent downtime of three days with no email or conact from them regarding the system not working, prompted me to ginally go with Moneris Paydpro, and so far the comparison is night and day. For 20.00 a month through them, i have felt like a valued customer, no downtime, simple device that works exeptionally well, and customers have commented on it being much easier to use on their end as well. As well the battery does not run down when the device is off making charging neccessary based on usage. Seems to last about a week or so for me, compared to two days for dream. Plus I come back from the weekend and the battery is still charged. With Dream, coming back from being closed over the weekend always required it to be charged just to begin my week. I lack the POS, but I have another program I can use for that.

"Dream Payments is a great POS device, needs some updates."

Dream Payments is a great POS device.
Ease of switching between devices remains difficult. It's annoying that every 10 minutes I am required to re-sign into my account to process payments. If the device is less than 75% charged, the tap functionality may not work.

Otherwise - payment is prompt, debit transactions work like a breeze and the 2.75% of each credit transaction is competitive in the market.

I highly recommend this product, though I hope they make some updates. I'd prefer to sign in with my fingerprint rather than a password.

"The small unit is a fantastic option …"

The small unit is a fantastic option for apps system but there are a few glitches that should be fixed to make this item a5*.
#1 if the system requires your sign in to continue use, sign in should be requested immediately rather than after you've entered you're new sale info... or at least save what you've started to not have to duplicate steps.
#2 the recent update has changed the format to view your completed transaction. It is not an efficient use of our time to have to go into the sales screen to view how much tip was given.
#3 the system often gets stuck in the middle of a transaction... we don't know why? A cancel button on the app to stop the buffering would be helpful. Currently the only option is to close out the app and restart it. Again this is time consuming.
We understand that this is fairly new technology, We have been requesting these issues be addressed for several months now. Please advise when we can expect some improvements to these concerns

"To have a portable debit machine was …"

To have a portable debit machine was perfect for my business. I made many sales which I would have lost just having this unit! My only reason for 4 stars are because this unit has completely froze up on me three times. At one show, I called customer service and the support was great! I actually had to reboot the unit. Then it happened again at my last craft sale with a table full of customers and I was unable to call for support. Good thing I had my old credit reader from before I purchased dream payments to take all the rest of the sales.
Otherwise, I know customers I have had have actually inquired about the unit and went out to buy their own for their own companies also. :)

"IT sometimes doesn't work"

IT sometimes doesn't work, and there is no explanation when a person phones in, just that we are working to solve the problem. It generally works, and works well, when I need it to, but I am a very small retailer. I think it is a little too unreliable for a larger retailer. It would also be handy to have a discount feature for the cataloged items in the system.
