"Absolutely awful"

Absolutely awful. Non-responsive, extortionate rents, temporary concierge staff taking cuts from external estate agents while they are coming to do viewings and doing deals right in front of you, the same people letting in drug dealers into the buildings for a cut. I´ve seen it myself. It´s all gone very much downhill since being taken over from Tipi which took actual pride in providing good customer service. Quintain cares only about getting as much cash out of you as possible and then forgets about you. You´re not a person to them, just a bank account. One extremely rude girl working at Quintain Living laughed at me when I said that the flat was full of rubbish when she showed it to me and told me she was doing me a favour by even showing it to me as they often rent them to people from abroad who book them without seeing them. All in all just vile. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid.

"Leaking water "

We unexpectedly faced a severe water leak in the kitchen ceiling at Repton gardens building , which was like a waterfall .It was a very concerning situation for us because the water, electricity, and lighting in our home had to be turned off to prevent further danger. Fortunately, the management and maintenance team acted quickly and provided us with a clean, furnished apartment to stay in during this time. It took more than a week for us to return to our own apartment. This was the first time the management team addressed our issue so promptly, and I attribute this to Ms. Alisha’s efforts, as she was following up on our situation from the very beginning. I truly appreciate Alisha’s hardworking and responsible attitude.

"The apartment prices are insanely high."

The pricing of this home rental company is outrageously high, making it incredibly difficult to justify the cost. The rental rates are far from reasonable, especially considering the size of the apartments, which often fail to meet expectations. The lack of balance between price and apartment size leaves much to be desired.

"Unreasonable Deposit Charges Despite Professional Cleaning"

I had a very disappointing experience with Quintain Living regarding my tenancy deposit. Prior to moving out in October 2024, we have arranged and paid for professional end-of-tenancy cleaning with NJC, one of Quintain Living's partners, to ensure the flat was left in excellent condition. Despite this, Quintain Living submitted unreasonable additional charges for cleaning and redecoration through TDS a month after, claiming the flat was not up to standard—even though it was left in great shape and an end-of-tenancy cleaning was already arranged with one of their partners.

These charges feel like an attempt to unfairly withhold part of our deposit. I have even escalated the matter to local Councillors and my MP because tenants should not have to face these unjust practices.

I expected better from a company like Quintain Living and would strongly advise future tenants to be cautious when dealing with their deposit processes.
