Totally disgusted with Penicuik windows after care service or should i say lack off, have had an issue with a bedroom window for nearly 3 months now have made 5 calls to customer care about issue and still no joy .been told multiple time this will be handled and still nothing, Feel very disappointed at the fact you pay thousands of pounds for a product and once the bill is paid they just forget about you,even though they are meant to be guaranteed for 10 years .

What a joke of a company.

They offered me a great product at a good price. The window fitters were pros who knew what they were doing.

Excellent windows and expertly fitted and dealt with the recent wind and rain very well. No issues whatsoever and would definitely recommend. The only reason I have given 4 stars is the problems I encountered with customer services. Not answering the telephone and / or not putting me through to correct extension happened on more than one occasion but that aside I would definitely use their services again.

Penicrook more like -Money Grabbing . £7000 for 7 windows plus installations and paying for the Scaffolding. That is how much my 82year old Gran has been charged for her two bed flat. Salesman took £1000 in cash from her as deposit . Apparently I can’t interfere or negotiate as she has signed. My little gran doesn’t want to cause trouble and thought she was doing the right thing. I wished I’d been there when the sales guy was there . I’ll give Penicuik the advertising they deserve . Unscrupulous

Very good job fitting 2 doors I WOULD RECOMMEND PENICUIK . as I am a tradesman(plumber) 30+years working in trade. Rated 10 out of 10 for such good quality.

1/ If you’re getting a ‘great discount’ on your windows, YOU MUST CHECK that the agreed materials are written on the contract before signing.
2/ Check before installation that they have sent the correct materials you have ordered.
3/ Customer Service have no clue as to what is happening.

When we selected the windows and arranged an installation date. So far so good. It was the summer and we got ‘extra discount’ and to be fair the price was fine.
First installation visit, the smaller window was done, but not with the materials ordered. Excuses were given and as the job had been started, there was not much we could do.
The larger bay window couldn’t be done as incorrectly sized fixings had been sent. This was now I feel a blessing in disguise.
Second installation day, asked to see what materials had been sent.
At this point we had ordered mahogany surrounds and the surveyor had typed this on his docket for the installation.
Somebody has scored this out and wrote plywood on the worksheet and that had been supplied.
WHY HAD SOMEONE CHANGED THE REQUESTED AND PROMISED MATERIALS?
So I stopped the workmen from starting work, explaining why.
Sadly, no one could or would answer this question and customer service and the installations depot never explained.
It took another few weeks to get another installation date as we were told, ‘the correct parts (Mahogany surrounds) were being made’.
So the company had not attempted to supply the agreed materials, despite 2 visits.
Anyway it took another 2 visits to finish installing.
The installation is ok, but certainly not excellent. The finishing isn’t flush and all my dealings with the company were EXTREMELY frustrating.
You call customer service and they tell you it’s an installation issue.
The installers don’t respond to your calls, or they didn’t until I got the managers direct number, but even then..........
All in all, A VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE.
Avoid this company.
