"Great windows good workers"

Great windows good workers, but I have a mark on my front window which needs looking at, it's been more than 2weeks since they were installed and the scaffolding is still in plae NOT happy

"I am very happy with the service that …"

I am very happy with the service that we got from Penicuik the job was measured supplied and fitted in a very reasonable time ,the guys showed up and worked solidly for three days with no problems and the plasterer was out a couple of days after just to skim over the bits that broke off from the fitting the only reason I have given them 4 stars is because we have had no one back to finish the sealing of the windows after the plasterer and we have one white window handle and the rest are chrome (no replacement one sent out) apart from those couple of things we are very happy with the quality

"After sales service is non existent"

Had windows and two doors fitted. Reported that the workmen had damaged our toilet seat (3 times now) and have still heard nothing back. Despite this Penicuik keep calling to remind me that i can get a discount on replacing my fascias. Salesperson was incredulous that i wouldn't let them come out and give me a quote for fascias until i got a response regarding my damaged toilet seat.

Seriously Penicuik, i paid a substantial amount to get my windows and doors done. They can't even get back to me to address damage you caused to my property that would cost 20 to 30 pounds to rectify.

Salesperson comes out and promises the works, but after sales service is non existent!!!!!

"Customer care???? A joke!!"

Phoned customer care several times, every day for a week but never got through, always left on hold. Sent 3 'call me back' messages- not called back! The ever so friendly Kev 'I will be with you to the end of your project' salesman blocked our number the minute we were not happy with the job, and hasn't taken our calls since.

We signed for the total price of £14,860, paid a £300 deposit yet have been hit with a bill of £15,508.76. Not sure who is the mathematician at Penicuik but they need a calculator!

Our friendly salesman suggested taking out finance on a card, despite us wanting to pay cash, as this would allow us to pay a small deposit and not any more until we were satisfied with all the work. According to our salesman if we didn't do this we would have to pay 75% of the total price before the work was completed.

We are now disputing our final total as my signature is on all paperwork containing the figures £14,860, however Penicuick have said this is our fault for taking out the card when we could have paid cash- despite their salesmanship pushing finance!! They say we will now start paying interest unless paid in full by 11th may! Interest on a total not signed for- absolute robbery!

Trading standards are next on my list to call unless Penicuick decide to pull their finger out and phone me back!

The contract number box on our paperwork is not filled in, I have already said this in one of the 3 'call me back' messages that I have sent. I had an email from customer service 2 days ago who asked for my postal address for indentification, which I provided in a reply email. However I have heard nothing more either by phone or email, and despite sending a further 2 emails, I have had no reply. The original email was from Natalie Travener. This issue needs to be rectified ASAP, and the continued ignoring of this only infuriates me further. A very disappointing end to a set of windows and cladding which was actually installed very well. Well done installation team, but the sales team, customer care team and after care let the company down. Sadly I wouldn't now recommend.

"having been told that the installation …"

having been told that the installation would be done on the weekend march 25/26 when engineer arrived we were told that he was only there to fit the doors which he did not complete. we had informed the installers that we had a short break booked for the 28/29 march. engineers arrived 27 march and informed us they were here for two days to complete installation,and as we were away on the 28th it was not suitable. installers then rearranged for 30th which put a bit of a damper on our break.. installation was completed on 30th. i then informed installer that i could not lock my back door and was told i could not get an engineer to fix it for 10 days, i am still waiting for it to be repaired. i am not a happy customer

"Don't use this company .I've had enough …"

Order number P53242 galashiels .Don't use this company .I've had enough nearly six weeks now and still the scaffolding has not been moved .countless phone calls and broken promises .emails sent to customer service team which are just being ignored .being told someone will call back and they never do .its pointless phoning as you are just fobbed off and a whole six weeks later still can't use my new french doors .absolutely awful customer service .I for one will never use this company again even though the windows and doors are good .the customer service is awful get your business then abandon you no one helps .don't expect anything to happen if you call or email cause it won't .James pringle

"POOR installation POOR workmanship"

Last month I have had all windows and doors replaced by Penicuik.
This was not the cheapest price quoted however products where of a high standard at which prompted my decision to use this company.

What I had not considered was the fact that Penicuik would use a sub-standard approach to actually 'fitting' these units.

The completed job is of such a low standard with a list of outstanding faults and poor workmanship that this now overshadows the quality products.

Reading the other recent reviews it would seem that there is a 'theme' surrounding the poor installation from the fitters!

To any potential customer reading this I would strongly suggest that you go to another company!

To Penicuik who have ignored my complaint and have made no action to rectify my long list of remedial works required I would like to advise that I am now initiating a formal complaint and will take action Under the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982, with regards to that any double glazing installation should: Be done using ‘reasonable care and skill’.

This will be confirmed in writing.
I have repeatedly attempted to rectify this via telephone however it has now been 2 weeks and I am no further forward.

The customer service telephone number rings out and Penicuik are not returning my calls.

"Quality of the product is fine ...."

Quality of the product is fine ..... BUT
1st fitting team were not the best. Thank God they only fitted 3 Windows to which I have snagged all 3. 2nd team that came following day were superb not a fault in sight. 3rd chap who came following week to fit a round window was also top notch. Velux window would not fit been waiting 2 weeks for replacement with no contact and no contact about fixing the snags that have been reported.

"my installation is wrong!!"

my installation is wrong!!! we were given the wrong door and the wrong glass panel, we were also given the wrong handles on the windows!!! 14 phone calls later we are no further on.we cannot get anyone to take ownership for this disgraceful customer service.we have pushed from one department to another.i am now thinking of going to the newspapers.
