no options for people traveling with pets other than booking an expensive private compartment? because all people with pets are apparently supposed to be rich? no accessibility for people in wheelchairs or with mobility impairments? this is not a company that cares about making train travel available and accessible to people. its a company that did the bare minimum to exploit a big need for night trains throughout europe.

"Excellent trip"

I have booked a couchette several times between Berlin and Amsterdam and have always enjoyed it! The compartments are comfortable, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere with fellow travellers relaxed.

The overall experience Brussels to Prague was not bad, thanks to the lovely people we met in our compartment.
Both trips were right on schedule but the number of stops they make in the Netherlands is questionable.
I was not expecting the trains to be that dated. The facilities were fairly clean although basic.
There isn't much space to move around and place the luggage when the compartment is full.
The catering prices are unbelievably high (for 3 instant coffees and chocolate I paid more than 8 euros).

My family of 4 (adults) travelled in February 2025 from Brussels to Prague. My husband and I travel frequently by night train and have had many experiences. On this train, I had the best night's sleep I have ever had on a night train. In addition, the toilets all functioned well, which isn't normal in our experience. The train left Brussels and arrived in Prague on time. The booking process was simple. The employees on the train were friendly. We had a relaxing and enjoyable journey and would definitely travel with European Sleeper again.

Ouderwets comfortabel en handig met de nachttrein naar Berlijn geweest. Mooie tijden ('s avonds weg, 's morgens vroeg aankomst) en een duurzaam alternatief voor auto/vliegtuig. #recommended

Trein reed op tijd, er lag schoon beddengoed en we (beiden 55+) hebben heerlijk geslapen, kwamen volgende ochtend uitgerust in Praag aan. De treinwagon is wel oud materieel, maar dat had z’n charme

We had an amazing experience on the European Sleeper!

We had a 5 bed couchette room and it was clean and cozy, we loved waking up and watching the world go by! The breakfast was tasty, staff were friendly and we arrived to Prague on time!

"Never again"

If I could give them a zero, I would. Booked this several months before a 3 family trip to Europe. This was supposed to be a highlight with an over night from Amsterdam to Berlin with young kids. Train was over two hours late and they did not have the two birth cabin I booked for each couple, so we all had to squeeze in a 6 birth, it was literally a nightmare. It's almost a year now and I have not received a refund. First their computer were 'down'. Then they lost my record and now they cannot find proof that I ever paid! Total incompetence start to finish, beware.
