On y croit!

"Very disappointed- solo travel Prague to Brussels"
The carriage I travelled in for 190 euros/night was in a terrible state and some aspects such as broken mirror and the non-running water in my and the surrounding carriages, the toilet clogged with excrement, presented health risks that a company that sells tickets at the same price as Brussels Airlines for its flights cannot afford. Eurosleeper should immediately invest in renovating these old carriages or not use them at all.

"I travelled solo from Amsterdam to…"
I travelled solo from Amsterdam to Berlin and back, both times in a shared compartment.
Pros: both trains were on time, toilets were clean, the bedding was comfortable and I was able to sleep. It's great to be able to stay until 10pm in Amsterdam and then wake up in Berlin
Cons: both times there were already people sleeping in my compartment, and it wasn't easy to have my luggage and my bedding set up with my phone torch without annoying them, especially on the way back as I had a middle berth, that doesn't provide much room.
The price is not cheap, I spent 220 for the round tickets booking nearly 2 month in advance. I hope they can lower the price for shared compartments, especially if one books a lot in advance!

"A wonderful experience travelling from…"
A wonderful experience travelling from Amsterdam to Prague. Left and arrived dead on time. We had a two berth compartment - dated certainly, that’s part of its charm, but clean, comfortable and very functional. Absolute luxury compared to modern air travel. Would (will) choose this every time if we can make the timetable work.

"Travelled as a family of 4 - excellent and fun."
Travelled as a family of 4, in a 5 berth couchette from Brussels to Prague.
Train arrived on time in Brussels, with prompt and easy boarding.
Compartment was very clean, with pillows, sheets and blankets ready to go.
Both sons really enjoyed the experience more fun and less hassle than flying, it was part of the holiday rather than a way of getting there.
Yes, one of toilets on the coach did have some issues at points during the trip. The staff seemed to keep on top it though, and the other toilet was clean and tidy for the whole trip (along with others up and down the train).
Apparently there was a slight delay overnight, but it didn't bother us - we arrived in Prague pretty much dead on time.
Of course it's not the Orient Express, and if you're expecting that then you may be disappointed... but if you're after a clean, reliable, quiet and comfortable trip then by my experience you can't go wrong.

"Prepare for the negative so you can enjoy the experience "
Having read many negative reviews in advance we went prepared and planned connections accordingly. Leaving a long gap between our scheduled arrival in Brussels and eurostar connection to London was the best decision, closely followed by taking spare toilet paper and soap. I was very grateful to two fellow passengers who after their outbound trip had bought cleaning materials and tidied up the one working toilet out of 4. It would have been really helpful to have known in advance that our toilets would be out of order from departure. I had assumed they would break part way through so had a large cup of tea before departure thinking i would be fine if I didn't drink anything after we left.
Nevertheless I can't fault the price, a bargain couchette used by just two people was incredibly spacious. The rooms with sinks had water and soap throughout the night so you could get clean. Compartments were clean, locked securely from the inside and were warm. Staff were friendly but I really hope the quality improves as I doubt I would ever pay full price. Thanks to the owners for trying.

"Great way of traveling"
- Perfectly on time
- Friendly staff
- Great breakfast
- Great way of traveling in the first place
- The mattress in the top bunk of the sleeper car turned out to only reach my knees, a little warning might have been nice

"disappointing to say the least"
I boarded the train and proceeded to my cabin, I had booked a single cabin and on first inspection, everything seemed fine. Carriage 18 Place 51
I went to freshen up and there was no running water in my cabin to wash in any of the taps. I informed the guard and he told me there was maintenance looking at it, and it will be fixed, (which it was not fixed during the duration of the journey). The toilets on the carriage had no water either I had to go to a toilet 2 carriages away, was very inconvenient as I had paid €249 for a private single compartment, most of the toilets were blocked for most of the journey too.
I asked the guard could he tell me where the dining car is, to which he informed me the was none on this service, I had enquired before my booking was the catering and dining facilities on this journey when I telephoned, and was assured there was catering facilities on board. It was most inconvenient and for such a long journey of 17 hours, you would expect to have catering car on-board.
You could only buy Pringles and nachos from the guard, that`s if you could find him!
Wen to looking for him a few times but to no avail.
The wall bed in my room kept falling down hitting me on the head on numerous occasions as the catch seemed to be loose, the blinds kept flying up every time the train was rocking making it near impossible to sleep and the main door to the compartment kept sticking was very hard to open.
I have been of sleeper trains before going from Paris to Barcelona and it was lovely experience, and very quiet and smooth the journey, this was a different matter v disappointing and will not be in a hurry to book again.
