"I find GLS the best couriers to deal…"
I find GLS the best couriers to deal with. I am never in my house when my parcels are being delivered and GLS give you the option of a grant deposit delivery so you can tell them where to leave your parcel in this case. I’m sick of missing collection from A Post and then having to go to a depot which only opens till 2 pm????. It’s such a hassle but GLS take that hassle away. Would highly recommend this company.

"Attempted break in? No, looks like an 'over zealous' GLS driver"
Like most people I've had my share couriers delivery on behalf of companies the last few years. I have NEVER, I cannot stress this enough, NEVER had anything like this happen to me before. It's a long one...
I came home from work Tuesday (14th) with my kids to find the latch on the porch door snapped off and the door sitting weirdly. I thought someone had tried breaking into the house. The broken part of the latch was lying on the ground close to the door. We were locked out of the house as even though I could unlock the door the latch had been forced off.
We were lucky that my neighbour had pulled up shortly after us, he spent about 20mins working on the door to get us in. I was shaken and checked the house, nothing was out of place.
My neighbour came over shortly afterwards to tell me he had a video of the driver from GLS pulling at the door for about 2mins. No one else had been down my driveway at any other point in the day.
I emailed the company who came straight back asking for my delivery number which I supplied easily, and was ignored until I rang their head office in Dublin the following day. I was told on the phone, by Natalie, that the driver had already spoken to me (untrue) and that he only knocked on the door and then dropped the package around the back garden (also untrue). She asked me to forward on the email thread to her which I did immediately following the call.
I've asked for a copy of the call, sent the video and asked for any response only to be ignored.
I'm a single mother on my own with 2 small kids, I couldn't lock my house up when I was leaving, and the company has completely ignored me and taken the word of a liar despite obvious evidence showing otherwise. The video itself I can't tell what the driver was thinking he's pulling at the door like I don't know what, I mean if a door is locked it's locked! You can see him repeatedly yank at the door, throwing his weight into opening it, you can even see the part where the latch snaps, he throws it to the ground, tries the garage door then walks around the back.
I had no notification from the company to say the package was out for delivery, no letter or notice left in the post box to say there was a delivery, and no call or email from the company to warn me that their driver had damaged my door. The latch is broken and another part is bent out of shape just to give you an idea of how hard he was at the door.
I'm not sure how any company can think this is in any way acceptable but reading the most recent reviews they probably need a massive overhaul internally.
I will actively avoid any company who uses them as a courier, I'm fortunate there are cameras around recording the actual events

"Absolute joke of a company"
Absolute joke of a company. Out for delivery all day but clearly parcel has been stolen and it’s not the first time. Avoid at all costs.
Update: parcel arrived 3 days later than it said delivered on the system and was delivered to a neighbour (as seen on our ring camera). No delivery note left to say it had been delivered to a neighbour!

"Horrendous"
I've actually heard it all! I recently ordered some clothes off Shein who usually use anpost but must have switched to GLS (possibly worst shipping company in the world) My parcel said delivered on Saturday but I haven't received anything (and someone was home all day so didn't miss the parcel) so ring GLS up and say haven't received my parcel but it says delivered and shein will not refund the lost order unless I follow up with the company. So apparently when they couldn't find my house number because the parcel wasn't "labelled correctly" (it was) so they left my parcel with Pam, do I not know Pam? No I can't say I know Pam. I live in a housing estate with about 300 houses, so chances of finding Pam are not very good. I'm actually half laughing because I can't believe a service could be this bad. But it can. GLS managed it.

"Tyreleader shoppers beware!"
My tyres (tyreleader.ie) were due to be delivered on a Fri. Made an appointment to have them fitted on Sat. Stayed in all day Fri and they didn't arrive. Rang GLS Mon morning, was told driver hadn't enough time to make all deliveries but my tyres were still in the van and would be delivered Mon. They didn't arrive. Rang GLS again to be told the driver had "van issues" and tyres would be delivered Tue. 2 days wasted sitting at home and god knows when/if they'll arrive Tue.
28/2/23 - I've contacted tyreleader and informed them of the situation. I've told them I will be cancelling my order and requesting a full refund if my tyres aren't delivered today. I've wasted enough time contacting GLS.
