U-Pack Moving

"I used Upack April of 2024"
I used Upack April of 2024. The truck was supposed to be "sealed", but the seal was broken when it arrived for delivery. My items were ransacked, and I had missing belongings. My furniture was all damaged. I knew the truck was opened by someone after it was "sealed" because the hand truck that we paid extra for and was in the truck when the driver picked up the load was missing from the truck. The management office did not want to hear our complaints/concerns. They also lied about the pricing. I would never use them again.

"Do not use U-Pack to move any of your…"
Do not use U-Pack to move any of your personal items! Their driver damaged my entire 26ft load, basically my entire home. I immediately reported the extensive damage to their head office and U-Pack did not want to take any responsibility. Since I did not witness the damage occurring, they refused to even acknowledge it. The insurance I had with them was not honored. I do not recommend anyone contracting with U-Pack, as they will surely regret it.

"Fire your international dispatcher"
I moved from the United States to Canada earlier year, which was stressful and I was pretty much alone in all of it. I was just diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus, a condition that causes everything from exhaustion, to extreme nerve pain, to severe reactions to heat. Unfortunately, I was the only one around to unpack the U-Pack moving trailer into my storage unit, as work and illness got in the way of my friends/family members being able to arrive on time to help.
I understand that it isn't fun for a dispatcher to realize that there might be a hitch in a schedule. This is no excuse to call me just to harass and mock me while I'm in the middle of trying to quickly unload an entire moving trailer, by myself, all the way across the interior of a storage facility, in the heat, while suffering from an autoimmune disease that causes me extreme pain from that kind of exertion. The dispatcher told me I was just making up excuses and insulted me until I cried and the delivery driver had to intervene to get this dude to stop being the worst person on the planet for two seconds and explain that it was only me thanks to no one else being able to show up.
I honestly kind of regret being polite to the dispatcher, but I was genuinely stunned anyone would ever talk that way and I really didn't want to stoop to his level. I ended up passing out when I got back to my apartment from heat exhaustion with a heart rate in tachycardia levels, and this triggered an SLE flare up that lasted for two weeks. Thank you, U-Pack, for causing me agony and seizures in the time to come because your dispatcher wouldn't stop taunting me to move things faster and implying I'm lazy. I sincerely hope you go bankrupt.
I don't have control over whether people I know show up, and I don't have control over the fact that I have an incurable illness, but your dispatcher absolutely has control over his tone and the way he treats customers. It's absolutely inexcusable.

"5+ stars for customer service"
5+ stars for customer service
5 stars for the cubes
4 stars for the 23' trailer
I've used both the relocubes and the 23' trailer. Even though the relocubes were forklifted on and off an 18-wheeler, my belongings were in better shape than when I used the 23' trailer. I'm not sure if the 23'trailer driver went offroading in rural Vermont, or if somehow belongings move around more in a well-cushioned trailer that doesn't get picked up and set down.
The movable wall that gets placed at 2' intervals in the trailer was very heavy and unwieldy, as was the ramp. Even the drivers struggled with the wall. Office managers and engineers need to shadow these guys and redesign the wall and ramp to make it user-friendly to regular folk.
I can recommend the ReloCubes but not the 23' trailer. Customer service was always amazing.

"Rude arrogant driver refused to deliver…"
Rude arrogant driver refused to deliver 26 ft trailer on my move day. I had used UPACK to deliver the same size trailer down my driveway when I moved in 1 1/2 years ago. This beligerant beauty said that 2 tree branches (which were actually trimmed shorter since my first trailer) were in his way. I had a furniture pickup by Goodwill using 26 ft trailer just days before with no problems. The driver would not even leave his cab to have a look and actually tried to run me down when I attempted to approach him to tell him he would have no issue. He simply called his dispatch and left. When I complined to UPACK, they could'nt care less! Zero support. I had to cancel my move labor and contract another full service reputable carrier at the last minute. THEY delivered a 26 ft trailer with no problem. DO NOT USE UPACK. Bad brokers with no control over incompetant drivers.

"U-pack was late, then gouged my driveway and said they weren't responsible"
U-pack was a day late in delivering their pods - and I had movers scheduled to load the pods. They then dispatched a 3rd party to load and unload the pods without notifying me. They did not have the correct equipment and accidentally carved out a some of my paved driveway. U-pack told me they were NOT responsible, and I would have to contact the 3rd party. It cost me more to use them than to do nothing.

"Tons of damage to our furniture."
We had lots of damage to our furniture and the insurance would not cover it as they said freight containers are not as cushioned as trucks. We used the recommended loaders and they packed heavy objects on top of wood furniture and literally crushed the furniture. The insurance was useless. I would never move using containers again.

"Made a difficult and emotional move as easy as possible."
They were so helpful and made this difficult move as easy as possible. From pick up in NPR, Florida to drop off in Brooklyn, NY. I was very nervous about delivery especially in New York, with the city restrictions. I made several telephone calls to UPack and spoke to Rose each time and if I did not get her I asked for her. Rose knew what to do and how to reassure me that everything would be fine. I arranged delivery on a day when there was no school and alternate parking would not be an issue but of course, the city always has other plans. (Construction with one day's notice). Rose, had many suggestions but most of all she knew all the right things to say to me to keep me calm; she is definitely, an asset to UPack. The delivery driver, I believe his name was Nick, was also wonderful he was able to maneuver the cubes to make it easy for us to unload. (BTW not one thing was broken) I highly recommend UPack for any move they are very professional and know what they are doing.

A drunk Upack driver truck 85020 almost just ran me off the road! Been holding the line 49 minutes to report! No answer…tells me all I need to know! Terrible company!

"A Great Experience with Upack"
We had a great experience with Upack. They were easy to work with on scheduling. The container was in excellent shape, and traveled rom Virginia to Maine quite quickly.
They picked it up Tuesday, and it was delivered today.
We had a terrible experience with another company previously, and are grateful this was so smooth, and easy.
They also beat the competitors prices with a healthy margin.
We will definitely recommend them to people we know, and may use them again this year for household items going to another location.
