I use beryl bikes quite often but today a bike was jammed locked in a bay but it didn't register the bay on the app it charged me so i asked for a refund and the team took about 2-3 minutes to respond and refund

It’s such a pleasure to be in contact with the teams who manage the Beryl Bikes in Leeds. So so so helpful, ask lots of great questions and get problems resolved so fast. They do a phenomenal job. I’ve stopped using public transport completely now. I just grab a Beryl bike a zoom around. Cheap and efficient and fun and less of an environmental impact. I’ve had an issue with billing twice in three months but it’s been resolved within three minutes of getting in touch with the help team. What a great system. I would actively encourage people to use this service.

I have had nothing but good experiences with beryl bikes…expect when I had a £10 fine for not locking the bike due to a dodgy lock!!!
I messaged customer service and spoke to Elsa who sorted the the issue within minutes….she was fantastic!

Beryl Worcester - Nice Idea but very poor execution. The bikes are not being maintained and I thought they were supposed to be distributed in all the bays. There are 4 bays in my area and more often than not there are 0 bikes but you go 1.2 miles down the road to the city centre and the bays are over flowing with 10+ bikes in every bay. It's been like that for days now. I'm sorry to say that it really isn't working in Worcester. I am having to take the matter up with the council because as far as I can see Beryl are not doing what they are supposed to be doing - no real signs of bike maintenance and no signs of the bikes being distributed. It is totally pointless offering something but then not actually doing it. Personally, I think the council needs to review Beryl Worcester urgently - there are other bike companies who might do a better job. As a Journalist, I really wanted to adopt the use of Beryl bikes to get about sustainably but sadly, I can't rely upon them.
