Bike was really easy to hire once you downloaded the app, the only thing that was really fiddly was locking the bike back.
The back lock was fine to do but the front lock underneath the front basket kept falling out.
Elsa and chat were really helpful and efficient and managed to lock this for me virtually. But that the one reason for bot giving this a full 5 starts.

I’ve had mixed experiences with Beryl, but overall it's a decent service. The bikes can occasionally have faults, and there are some issues with parking fees if you don’t use designated stations. However, the flexibility of parking between stations is a handy feature when available, and the customer service team is quick to address problems—shoutout to Ana and Max for their great support. The introduction of e-bikes has its pros and cons, though I wish pricing was slightly more competitive. Despite a few hiccups, I think Beryl is a convenient option in cities where the stations are well-placed. Four stars!

Beryl staff are extremely efficient, quick at responding, and understanding when I need to report a problem or ask a question. Elsa was particularly helpful with my recent issue where the bike wouldn't lock. Thank you for your help!

I use this mostly in West Mids. The app looks good but GPS location is very slow to update on app and takes up to a minute to update on the bike and scooter. This causes problems with ending ride as it’s often reported as being outside docking area. Also unlocking is very clunky and often fails. NFC frequency fails. Do not use if relying on it for a time critical journey. Getting help is also very slow.

I’ve had a great experience with Beryl. The app is really easy to use and the bikes are good quality. On the one occasion I’ve had a problem with a bike, problem with the lock, the chat feature was brilliant, the member of staff helping me, Elsa, was incredibly helpful and had my problem solved within two minutes.
