Every time I use Beryl, there’s an issue. This time, despite parking the bike well within the designated bay, I was charged £10 for allegedly parking outside. How does that even happen when I made sure it was parked correctly?
Last time, their app sent me 1 km to a bike, then 2 km in the opposite direction, only for the bike to not unlock. The level of incompetence is astonishing.
Beryl needs to get their act together and fix their unreliable service. Charging customers for mistakes on their end is unacceptable. Avoid using this service unless you want endless frustration and unjustified charges.

The customer service is usually always reliable helping out whenever needed however the system itself is very flawed the bikes have many issues from unlocking issues and faulty mechanics.

If you have a scheme like this you need one that works.
Twice now in a few weeks the lock hasn't opened when a bike has been "unlocked" leaving me unable to end ride or anything until the system resets, which means I cannot then try to unlock another bike because the system thinks I'm on a ride...
3 bikes I tried to do this with, at 4.30 am, in the rain, and they offer 10 minutes worth of free rides...

Terrible company, with terrible customer service. You pay for a monthly pass, then they never do anything to ensure scooters are in your local area. We have complained more than 7 times in total, regarding lack of availability. Nothing ever changes. It isn't just the bay closest to us, it is ALL in our town and the one next to us. We are only 2 miles outside of Birmingham City Centre, it's ridiculous that they cannot be bothered to move some scooters around to ensure we have availability.
When you ask for a refund as you've complained countless times, at multiple dates, they don't even offer a full refund. Only partial.
They TRULY do not care. Each customer is just a drop in the ocean from them.
Would not recommend them at all and as I am writing this, guess what? No scooters available!

Was great when it started but is now a regular poor experience. Bought loads of minutes to use on normal bikes, but in BCP these are all nearly replaced with ebikes that cost an extra £1.50 to unlock for every ride. Short trips now not worth it. Virtually every bike has something wrong with it, twisted handlebars, rusty chains, faulty gears, bent pedals, flat tyres. Awful condition bikes. Many of the locks dont work, so you find a bay of bikes but none of them work. Ive taken to not bothering and walking or getting a taxi instead
